15 years working along side GR1's and GR4's and I can safely say that the undercarriage and undercarriage bays ARE Light Grey Gloss.

Sell or swap the G for an early E. Best place for that is over on ARC forums.

Can't remember seeing one in the "30th Anniversary" kit? Just checked and apparently it's on sprue "K" still can't remember seeing it
-
What gun muzzles come with those kits? As the early E's had the angled muzzle

Some of the Hunter T7's of 12 and 208 Sqn adopted a Matt Black scheme late on.

The areas pointed out above are just the start as Chico was a "Hard wing" jet ie: no slats on the wing so a new wing would have to be acquired as well. The only Hasegawa F-4E kits that comes with the Hard wing are the 5978 Pro Modeller version 09361 F-4E Phantom II Bicentennial 1976 09398 F-4E Phantom II Thunderbirds however any wing from the J or EJ versions will also do with very minor alteration work Best bet is to buy an "E" and swap the wings with someone that requires a Slatted wing, people are always looking to swap in order to build different versions of the Phantom.

I've recently finished a Spanish AV8B+ and after weeks of researching I can say that I have never seen a photo of an AV-8B+ with BRU-42 ITER's fitted. However they can use them fitted with 2x GBU12's only and on the inside wing pylon only as well. All pics I've seen of AV8B's show single weapons on each pylon The same also applies to the Litening pod which cannot be carried on the centreline pylon as the Gunpod/Strakes interfere which the viewing angles, but on inside Starboard (Sta5) instead. Typical loadout with ITER and LITENING fitted would be Sta1 AIM9 Sta2 Drop Tank Sta3 BRU42 2X GBU12 Sta4 Empty Sta5 LITENING Sta6 Drop tank Sta7 AIM9/ACMI pod

Great looking build, I have one of these to do one day in Hellenic marks as well but will be updating mine to -5(EGM) standard [quote name='Phantom726' date='May 14 2011, 06:45 PM' post='769382' May I ask what color you used for the dark blue??. I am struggeling to get it right on my own M2000B! Xtracolor do both the Greys required for the Mirage, X377 I think it is for the dark blue Grey

Amerang the company that imports Hasegawa kits into the UK normally hold back a few of each type that they distribute for the same reason. However when all the parts are used they are gone. One good reason why it's bonus that Hasegawa rebox kits then re-release. Clear parts especially canopies are the first parts to go followed by wheels

Fantastic attention to detail displayed in this build. One of the best Phantoms builds I've seen.

1/48 EAV-8B+ Matador(Harrier)
scotthldr replied to scotthldr's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Wow, how big is that going to be, must be nearing 4ft in length? Saw your AV8S nice build from a lacking kit. I thought to myself how many Spanish Harriers/Matadors do you see then 2 turn up in the same week. It's a shame no one has released a decent kit of the early Harriers/Sea Harrier, as I wouldn't mind doing an Indian version. -

Hi Jonay, It's just you . No honestly these photographs were all taken under flash conditions, also seeing Red and Yellow against a Grey background will always make it take on a higher contrast and therefore the Roundels may appear too vibrant to some. This is another picture taken another night so different exposure. and the real thing for illustration only Photo and copyright by Victor de Lucas Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated. Chocksaway is that a typo, 1/10 ?? Scott -

But it happens, there was a case not so long ago where the person that listed items for sale regularly used a second user account to push the bids up. A sharp eyed bidder noticed that the same name was appearing on quite alot of the guys auctions and he alerted Ebay. Ebay conducted an investigation and found that both user accounts were registered to the same IP address, when they looked further into it they found that this had been ongoing for several years and he had made thousands of pounds above what he would've under normal circumstances. The guy was then reported to the Police for fraud, and he was sentenced to something like 18mths inside .

Liking this one Chris, very striking indeed

Count me in as well. USMC RF-4's, Turkish F-4E or maybe an Iranian "Toom" I'm not fussed on time scale

As far as I remember all GR1B's were delivered in the Green/Grey camo scheme, it wasn't until a few years later that they went totally Grey.

One of the best Phoons I've seen.
