  1. Does anyone know if someone offers an aftermarket hardtop that could be used for the 1/24 Revell Jaguar XKE Roadster? Kurt
  2. Nick, Will any of the parts, most especially the engine, be available scaled to 1/24? Kurt
  3. I have recently ordered a kit of a 1/24 scale Ford-Cosworth engine dfv Lotus 49 engine. I have never worked with 3d printed parts before. I have no idea about the properties of these parts and how to work with them. I haven’t figured out the correct combination of words to search this to any satisfaction. Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks in advance. Kurt
  4. Does anyone make decal sheets representing turned aluminium that would be suitable for use on 1/12 scale cars? Kurt
  5. Thanks for the ideas so far. I’ve been involved in almost every single part and type of modeling for about 50 years. I’ve done nothing at all for about 4 years. I just can’t stay away! I love these early pre-formula1 racers, they have so much character! My actual favorite is the Bentley Blower. That car seems to be actually in the process of rebirth with aftermarket of 3d printing at the moment. I am trying to wait that one out for a while and see where it goes. My concern is the mass of these 1/12 scale plastic kits on delicate (at least looking ) wheels. The kits aren’t cheap to me and SO much time and effort can be involved in a build to blow everything on presentation seems a sin. That’s why I want to consider it before I actually build it so I can incorporate it into the build as opposed to an afterthought. Thanks for any input. Kurt It says I’ve been here since 2021 but its actually a LOT longer than that.
  6. I was wondering how the best way to mount large scale vintage cars like the Italeri Bugatti to a scenic base that would be stable and not destroy the rather fragile wheel assemblies. Pinning the tires/tyres would be a disaster waiting to happen. I also thought of possibly a clear acrylic rod attaching to the underbodies center. Any thoughts on what would be unobtrusive but stable and practical. Kurt
  7. Nick, Anything new regarding either the Bugatti or the Bently? Kurt
