  1. Great, those are just the job. I'll drag them off later when I get home and file them whilst I get building the aircraft that the scheme's going on. Wonder if it would be applicable to a VC7?
  2. That would be fantastic, thanks. Like the moggies BTW - the one closest to the camera looks very like mine!
  3. Has anyone got a copy of the instructions for the Airfix kit of the tanker version? However, it must be the one with the photo top box (which means an early 80s kit) as that had the planned three colour disruptive pattern. Any assistance will be gratefully received. Ta muchly.
  4. Looks very nice indeed. Time to ditch the remaining Revell ones in the loft. Wonder if the ARBA nose for the version carrying the 55mm cannon will fit?
  5. Halfords Gloss Aluminium is rather nice too. Same price as the Tamiya sprays for twice the amount of paint.
  6. From what I remember, the only difference between the Hasegawa Lightning and the Frog copy of the mould is that the panel lines on the Frog one are a bit chunkier. Subsequent Novo releases have if anything made them worse with age. The F6 that Revell have announced is this kit. As for Hasegawa's "retool", the only differences were added blisters and gunports on the ventral tank and the cockpit got a floor and a stick.
  7. I've got a Special Hobby one on the bench at the moment plus one that's about to be decalled (albeit as an RAF Fury II....). The only real snag with building it is the resin insert for the wheel wells and that's just a shade too deep but some judicious sanding soon takes care of that - it's nowhere near as deep or badly fitting as the similar insert for their Tempest II. The rest is fairly easy. Would that the High Planes one was so easy to build. The wings required multiple sanding to get them to fit, as did the fuselage. The canopy is nice though and the wings have the holes for the rocket attachment points that the Special Hobby one lacks. I've got it together but hate the sight of it. The PM kit is fine if you want a cheap build or a basis for some what ifs.
