  1. Originally painted the light blue and light green Next day noticed I'd missed a part so opened what I thought was the green tin but when applied saw it was the darker shade so just added it. Don't know if there is a colour scheme like this just went for it. Do all my painting by hand out of the tin.
  2. Something I did 4 years ago, Hasegawa 1:200 Hercules C Mk.1P Don't know how I got it but had an idea what I wanted to do with it. After hours of fun trying to make a parachute for it ended up using a wrapper off a "Chup a Chup" lolly. Sprayed it grey and added a few lines to it and attached it to some scrap plastic. Enjoy Steve C
  3. Sorry guys, Posted this at 4am and didn't notice what part of the forum I was in
  4. This was my first attempt and build of a ship, Matchbox 1/700th waterline "Admiral Graf Spee". I had an idea as to how I was going to do the dio and looked at certain ways of doing the water effect. I eventually just cut a block of packing polystyrene with a saw giving it an uneven effect. Next I placed the hull of the boat onto the block , marked around it , removed it and then ran a line of liquid glue along the lines and it melted the poly. Once the ship was in place I covered the base in PVA glue , spread it out with a brush leaving some parts higher and letting it dry. I then painted the base , and added more glue spreading it out again and letting it dry. The wave effect down the sides was made by running a line of PVA glue right down either side of the model and brushed to give it a wave effect. As it was drying I added a white paint just lightly brushed along the sides. When dry I added more white to make the wake more visible and then gave the base a layer of clear to give it a shine. I've still to add a bit more white down the sides as I've been advised the wake would be wider from the middle of the model. I hope you like it . (PS rigging is made from my daughters hair)

    Danger UXB

Hi all As the theme for the Scottish Nationals is "Battle of Britain" I had this idea as to what I'd like to do. Most people will be thinking about aircraft so I thought I'd do something different so here are some pictures of my rendition of "Danger UXB" Found very few pictures on the web so worked with 3 or 4 pictures I could find. Base was a corner block of polystyrene out of a packing box. The bomb was off one of the guys from my model club. The figures were made up of different kits and A frame just 3 plastic rods. If you look closely I even managed to put the fuse wires on the detonator. I built it over 3 nights and am happy with how it has come out. Hope you guys like it, Steve C Jnr
