  1. Another major interest of mine is the new Strike Group and the use of MIV that Army 2020 refine has brought to the British Army. With orders soon to be delivered to our guys and gals, i wanted to start a topic in the anticipation of building one! I would like to try and model it exactly like the Union Jack one bellow that was showcased by Rhienmetal some time ago. I think it could be a very interesting and fun build. If anyone knows any others who have built the boxer it would be great if they could give me some advice on which 1/35 scale boxers most resembles the one in Red White and Blue, superficially regarding the command module it boasts with the autonomous gun and large antenna. (I believe it may be the A1 boxer or a Command and Control variant. Another boxer with the same if not similar spec.

  3. More pictures of the number one paint scheme so far, also some hints to what paint scheme I'm planning for a potential GTK Boxer build...
  4. Aren't there just, there's so many sets I would like to complete πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  5. Some more possible themes, I did not intend to choose one from each T56 Regiment but there you go aha! particularly drawn to the RTR's black and super dirty tank with the groovy white stripes.
  6. Here's another gorgeous tank in some photos from the International Armoured Vehicles Conference 2021. Glad we will soon have our hands on the 8x8.... little hint as what model I may consider in the future... (anyway i think the scheme looks better here as it is darker)
  7. A mean looking CR2, possible scheme 1 - i like the matt like colours in the dirt.
  8. It is tempting πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚I think I would give it a go if I didn’t have to buy so many different paints for it.
  9. Yea I’m liking dark green as an idea too. Have ordered some weathering bits too so I can give it a good go once she’s done! Good luck with yours, will you have a topic going for your build of it?
  10. I have ordered this bad boy! Will complete after Apache build (please check it out) - Will discuss some possible paint schemes in the mean time.
  11. Here is the dry fit after all parts are glued (some not for ease of painting) I feel it may be sacrilege not using an airbrush for the painting of this model, however to suit my amateur needs I will be using the 100ml Tamiya spray cans (Nato Black - TS-63 - x Olive Drab - AS-6) to create the Helo Drab colour. For detail I will use Tamiya's acrylic paints with brush application of X-11 silver and XF-2 white. I know these colours are limited, however for my first model Id like it to be more simple as I fare better with building than painting. Here are some close ups of the parts I have completed. Thinking of re-masking the cockpit for painting. Any suggestions for any of this model's build would be appreciated. I have found @Troffa 's post under a thread extremely useful for finding this specific model and using reference images they passed on in that post. I feel it slightly wrong in letting my virgin-modeller hands onto this model as it was quite hard to source, from USA actually costing a small fortunate to get across the pond! However I am taking extreme care that it should not be in vain. a useful link to the comment by @Troffa in case anyone wanted to use it.
  12. Having an interest in the AAC, I have started my first ever build (as a more dedicated hobbyist) on the attack helicopter that is currently being replaced by the Echo model.
