Bill,you´re right,there is stripes but before this time herein presented,when they were removed and just those pictured in the fuselage remained.

a kit built for a friend,with no pretenses,for it is the old Italeri mould,which has its share of faults...had to paint myself by hand the canopy frames,primitive,but it is finished after all...:

Yes,or even very diluted black or gray.In this case,the plate is shiny in the pictures,except when the airplane has been much used...

Just stumbled on a Warpaint profile and decided to get one of these Scheme 1 Furies for the collection...
Those were allocated to the Korean war before a change to the more common camouflage of high fuselage Sky.
A simple kit,a simple building,lots of joy...hope you like it.
