  1. Yet Tamiya rebox Italeri kits under their own name
  2. I wonder how many projects they will hold back for surprise releases, such as the sea king and Me 410. Maybe that has more impact than disclosing everything planned for the year in one announcement in January.
  3. Maybe a 1/35th Saracen if the Ferret sold well
  4. There seem to be some recent Airfix releases which are already getting hard to procure at a decent price. The 1/24th Mosquito and Typhoon and even the Hellcat, are advertised at vastly inflated prices on well known auction sites ,and other older kits such as the 1/72nd Nimrod for example, also seem in short supply. I’m not necessarily looking for those kits myself, but would have thought it made commercial sense to undertake a limited production run for kits which are clearly in short supply, and increasingly difficult to get hold of, especially brand new.
  5. There seems to be an opinion that Italeri kits are generally of an inferior quality to Japanese manufacturers , but Tamiya rebox Italeri kits under their own label , usually at a higher price
  6. I hate this kind of thing, Trumpeter seem to be increasingly churning out this stuff which belongs in the science fiction section, each to their own though.
  7. Always nice to see a completed Amodel kit, I imagine many never get built due to their reputation for difficulty
  8. I live in Barrow and although “morecambe bay” maybe a little too far away unfortunately . Hope it goes well 👍🏽
  9. Airfix seem to do well with British subjects that are maybe a little obscure for other manufacturers. The Defiant and Blenheim for example were released in 1/72nd and later in 1/48th so must have been successful enough to warrant scaling up Avro Anson Westland Lysander Handley page Hampden Fairey Battle All would sell well I imagine
  10. 1/72nd Armstrong Whitworth Albermarle. 1/35th Ferret armoured car. Both British subjects not widely covered by other manufacturers
  11. In Barrow , there are 2 shops selling models. Crafty hobbies which has a mix of model railways, dolls houses and has a fairly eclectic mix of kits , they have actually expanded the amount of space given over to kits, apparently they did well during lock down selling kits. There is also Heaths toy master which is mainly Revell and Tamiya with a few Airfix and others in the mix, best place for paints and accessories. Not too bad really for modellers when you notice how many other shops are now closed in the high st.
  12. I have the humbrol equivalents of RLM 72 + 73 for an Ar 196 and they look too alike, those colour coats look better.
