  1. This is an interesting project! I will watch your progress.
  2. I have made some rectifications on pilots. After I closed the fuselage, assembled the wings and putted all together (the fit of this kit it is really great). For the clear parts I have used Tamiya masking tape. I also have gave a layer of Tamiya fine surface primer. Here it is the result until now:
  3. I have manage to make some progress on the pilots. I have used the colors that are indicated in the instructions. Tomorrow I will give them a layer of matt varnish as well and gloss varnish on the goggles. Here are the pictures at this moment:
  4. Thanks everyone for comments/likes and watching over my progress. @Thom216 I didn't quite understand what you said in the second part of your message.
  5. I have started with painting the interior using a mix of XF-65 (Field Grey), XF-5 (Flat Green) and XF-21 (Sky) in the same proportions. For the interior details I have used XF-69 NATO Black and drybrushed with Vallejo 70.869 (Basalt Gray). The wash used for the interior it was a mix of Abteilung 502 005 (Smoke) and Abteilug 502 ABT113 (fast dry thinner). For hard edges and some chipping I used X-11 (Chrome Silver). Everything was painted by brush and I used a little tap water to thin the Tamiya paint. I found it really hard to have some decent photos (lack of proper light and phone camera). Starting from next week I will start to paint the pilots. Cheers Andrei
  6. Hi everyone! While I was reading the Aces High nr.17 I have saw a Bristol Beaufighter presented that I like very much. So I have decided to build as well one. For the markings I have decided to go for the Coastal Squadron 236, 1944 (the scheme that it picture on the box). Sadly I don't have any other extra parts, so It will be a build out of the box. I hope to have fun building this kit, I can't wait to paint the pilots. Today I didn't had so much time, so for the first day I just watched over the instructions and washed the kit with soap and water. I hope to make some progress over the weekend!

  8. Excellent work for both of the models! I also have finished recently an ICM He 111.
  9. Thank you! I had some minor issues but overall this kit it fits really well.
  10. Hello everyone! This it is my recently finished He 111H-16 (German bomber), scale 1/48. The ICM kit (No48263) it was pretty good I can say. The model is brush painted and the colors used were a mix of Tamiya and Vallejo Model Air. Marking: He 111H-16, 5./KG 4, Eastern Front, Winter 1942-1943. Small description from the instructions: In the beginning of 30s It was appeared in the world an idea of high-speed bomber that could outstrip contemporary fighters. One of the objectifications of this conception became the twin-engine bomber He 111 designed by German Heinkel Flugzeugwerke AG company. Since the December of 1942 it were produced He 111H-16 planes with liquid-cooled Jumo 211F-2 engines of increased power, with VS wooden wider horde propellers and more powerful armament. This variant could carry up to 3000 kg bombs internally and externally, The He 111H-16 was the last mass produced variant of Heinkel's medium bomber. It were produced approximately 1155 aircraft up to the end of 1943. He 111H-16s saw service on all fronts as night bombers, transports and glider tugs. I hope you like it and thanks for watching!
