  1. Well I have a Revell 1A5 with Biber kit thats the bridgelayer which I imagine also qualifies. On the Leo 2 front Border A5/A6 Meng A7 (their first 1/72 kit I think) Revell A5/A5NL Revell A4 with SLT50-3 Transporter Takom A7 with SLT56 Transporter Vespid A7+ A lot of these are recent pops and I'm a sucker for a brand new kit. The trumpeter kit is in my sights too as I know the Revell A4 isn't that great.
  2. i'll throw this in, this is the Revell kit versus PSC versus armour fast. Scale wise the PSC kit isn't bad as their stuff is usually pretty chunky, I need to get rid of the armour fast stuff its that horrible chewy plastic was going to use for painting practice but just nah not happening, plenty of other stuff on the shelf of doom.
  3. The Revell kit is a lot nicer I was disappointed but the turret detail on the IBG kit, the engine deck I believe varies a lot from mk to mk, there is an image over on missing lynx from Dan Taylor I think on the engine deck variations, I seem to remember some filling and scribing required for an accurate one. BTW the airfix 1/76 version is a nice kit too although I haven't built it yet on principle. as its 1/76.
  4. wow, quite the collection, have you counted them all?
  5. a base? I have been thinking that too but my current MO says no 😄 although a base would keep the two together. the long tom has been designed to be poseable and I think be used as a toy, although I have no problem trickling in some super thin to fix it in one position.
  6. I'm think of joining with either a Croatian T-34 or T-54/55.
  7. Not thrown my hat in yet, but leopards have been multiplying in my stash over recent months, all 1/72 versions, at least one is going to get built.
  8. The long tom is starting to grow on me a bit, even if I've had to do some filling of sink marks, ejector pin marks and fit issues.
  9. Oh I'm an episode 4-6 kinda guy and if you ask me it should've stayed that way. I do have about 8 Bandai star wars kits in the stash the majority of which are Ties or Wing fighters. One day I'll build one. They are also all 1/72 to fit with my AFV collection
  10. Made a start on the Long Tom, you wouldn't believe this kit was from the same company. Poor fit, seamlines and lack of keying on the major parts. The wheels in the kit are pretty bad so I decided to replace them with the wheels from an Academy 2.5ton US truck although this turned out to not be a straight forward swap out as I needed to create some spacers and cut new axels. The Academy kit will get aftermarket wheels when I build it. Progress so far.
  11. I've built the M5 Tractor and I have to say this is a very nice kit, a little bit of flash on I think one or two pieces, mould lines are manageable and the fit is actually excellent, no major fettling or surgery required. I'd say this stands up to a lot of recent kits. I'm not too sure about the figures however, still to be decided.
  12. Thanks Col.. There hasnt been much plastic on plastic action going on, however the plastic to metal fit has been pretty good. The turret which is plastic on plastic isn't that great. God knows how you are supposed to get the screws in that are supposed to hold it together, I'm guessing they are supposed to self tap, but that wasn't going to happen so superglue it is.
  13. That's the typical Brit, get a sun tan at any opportunity.
  14. I think I got lucky getting my hands on the cannon, I remember your build from last year.
  15. A Japanese build, I need to find something in the stash for this. Both of these kits from Hasegawa qualify I believe. High Speed Tractor M5 from 1975 M2 155mm Gun Long Tom from 1973 In slightly newer boxes. Will build them as a single entry. Cheers Calum
  16. Time for some Braille in Japan, I believe both of these classics qualify. For a nice duo.
  17. A box of S-Model Dingoes (you get two in a box) plus one Dan Taylor Modelworks interior conversion set. and a few infantry weapons from a Dragon kit I built these for the Armoured Car group build and then promptly forgot to post them in the completed builds, so here they are in RFI. Built one as British and one as a captured vehicle in German service. Kinda tricky to photo. Thanks for looking Calum
  18. Very nice, I thought I recognised those decals.
  19. very nice job, was expecting an armoured car but this might be even better.
