  1. He would have been at 280 SU (Troodos)! The Neatishead AD Museum is where my models are now! When Bentley Priory was closed they thankfully ended up there. I only went to Neat a few times to run exercises and mostly did Buchan (Scotland), Germany and Bentley as well as a load of detachments. Had a great career over 23 yrs!
  2. I used to be in the RAF (Radar Operator) and one of my postings was to RAF Bentley Priory. I also built the then AOC Air Chief Marshal John Allison, a model of Black 6, the Me109G he flew and subsequently crashed! The ROC were still in existence back then and had their base at Bentley. It was a great station to be at being the home of Fighter Command.
  3. These are the two I built for the AOC Hq 11 Gp to complement the collection started by the Royal Observer Corps.
  4. If I could figure out how to post a picture I would show you my two favourite ones! A 74 Sqn F4 J (UK) and a 56 Sqn FGR 2.
  5. Thanks for the welcome, Yes, that is me with Foxy Killer at RSAF Tabuk during GW1. Just bought the Revell 1/32 scale version of that jet!
  6. Hi All, getting back into building kits after stopping in the mid 90’s due to children and other distractions. Was fortunate enough to build test kits for Revell whilst stationed in Germany, did a reasonable job but was by no means an expert! Ended up with a roof full of kits that I would one day get round to building! Got into motorsport and sold a lot of the big kits on eBay to fund that hobby and recently shifted the rest through an online model action site. Kept a few back, mainly Vietnam era helicopters and fast jets, F1 cars and a couple of F4 Phantoms! Now the kids have left home I figured it was time to give it another go! Any advice on airbrushes would be appreciated as my Badgers are probably past it!
