  1. Royal Navy 1/48 Phantom FG1 Hasegawa Dear guys At last i finished this long but very interesnting project. I would like to tell that i decide to make an RN FG1 Phantom from an FGR2 RAF kit, i made some modifications like the refuelling probe made from scratch, wings folded, resin copies of the "FG1's Style" (slotted) stabilizators. About this Hasegawa kit, i have to tell that its a very nice kit, some minor problems at the intakes but nothing serious. Paints was Vallejo Model Color (i do not use model air range) thinned with water, Model Alliance (great) + Almark (not recomended) + Kit Decals. For the weapons i decided to use the kit's Sparrows/Sky Flash missiles and for the Sidewinders i buyed the Hasegawa Weapons C set. Also i included the rear ladder from Flightpath. I hope you like this Job, all critiques are welcomed as always. Regards
  2. Great Job Lovely build, i'll stay alert on this one. Regards
  3. Some update on this beauty: Still pending are the sidewinder missiles and its respectives pylons and launchers, and finishing to mount the folded wings too. Regards

  9. Hi Bill Yes, i consider that points, the Stabs are resin cast from an FG1 pair and the extra link wil be provided from the Flighpath set (it cames included). Best regards Hi Yes, that's the problem with the Aires Set, so i cut the exhaust from the resin cast and glueded in the kit parts (previosly removing the kit's exhaust). Regards. thank you Calum
  10. Dear friends. A slooooowww project, with its actual state of advance. Please note that the color looks like "blue" due to flash effect, the color is EDSG. All painted with Vallejo model color Acrylics (water thinned) Main colors painted, detail of panels in the exhaust area : Principal stencils in the cockpit area : Side-back view, engines not glueded yet : Underside : Seats (not finished yet) Finally, a deteail added, the flightpath rear ladder, absolutely recomended: I hope you like the process, i have still to finish wing tips, stabilizators, undercarriage and weapons, and weathering treatment. This is my first Phantom, i'm really enjoying this project. Regards to all from Chile Saludos a todos
  11. Nice build Can you please tell me if that kit contains both GE and P&W Intakes and exhaust? Thanks in advance
  12. Dear guys I wanna to share with you some advances of this job. As i said before, this is my first Phantom (and not the last surely ) and this is an excellent kit, beautiful and correct shape, some fit problems but nothing serious, so lets check the pictures : Just with primer : After applying primer, i noted thar in the upside of the plane the fit was not so good, so i had to apply Tamiya putty, sand, again sand, and finally rescribing panels and fuel caps, not an boring job at all With the upside job finished, masking applied to the trasparencies and primer applied: With white paint applied (Vallejo Acrylics) : I Installed the hooks used in this version (this is and FGR2 in the box but it contains all the pieces of the FG1 version, except the decals obviously) : That's all for now folks, next, starting with the ejection seats and the rest of the jobs... Regards

A really nice bird. Regards
