  1. Hello all, When an initial standard project turned into a what if. I was aiming at foiling this aircraft to see if it would improve the weathering to follow once fully painted. And finaly, I kept it NMF with a fictious scheme of a fictious Wolfpack unit still fighting end of 1945 from hidden airstrip. Enjoy for fun. Regards Fred
  2. Hello Andre, awfully, I saved the insignia, the rest is painted or coming from another aircraft set… Fredo
  3. Hello all, and happy new year, some pictures of the last one, a return to the gentleman’s scale. Nice model, painted with AK real, some issue when joining the fuselage requesting internal extra ribs. Enjoy Fred [/UR [/URL
  4. Hello all, thanks for your comments, Colin, for the relatively flat surfaces I used standard kitchen foil glued with micro metal foiled adhesive, for the more curved surfaces I used aluminium tape which is a little more flexible and can adapt to quite complex surfaces. It's important to use the minimum amount of glue to prevent bumps. I flattened the sufaces with Q tip and metal rods. The entire surface is then brunished with steel wool before being weathered with payne gray oil. Have a good evening Fred
  5. Good evening and happy new year all, my first finished model of 2021 will be my first ever submission in the site. Otaki models , despite suffering from mainly lack of details and too shallow wheel wells, are quite good in shape and a for sure one of the first model with recessed engraving. The model is covered with kitchen foil, the landing gear is totally scratched, the rest is more or less out of the box. Thanks for looking and take care, as everybody I hope that this year will improve everyone's situation Frederic
  6. Hello modelers, Please allow me to introduce myself as a new member of your community. I’m French and I’m living in Burgundy, I’m modeling since the beginning of the seventies, my first model was a 1/50 Heller Jaguar, and well my father did a big part of the job, this kit is the single survivor of my kid period. This first model was a sign, I was lucky to fly this plane later in the Air Force. I’m mainly building 1/48 plane, mostly 2nd WW, but with some excursion to jet age or Great War airplanes, like this just finished Fokker E II http:// I believe that the websites dedicated to modeling are great source of knowledge and inspiration, thanks for posting your work and helping me to reduce the size of my stash. Thanks again for welcoming me in the community and I wish you, despite the situation a good end of 2020. Regards Frederic
