  1. Dear Santiago, Have you ever considered to sign up for a free FlickR account where you can post up to 1000 photos? Best Regards, Martin
  2. This is a real beautifully detailed aircraft and indeed a masterpiece. I like it how you incorporated the modern features into the kit to create an accurate Spitfire that can be seen at airshows today.
  3. Thank you for sharing this Spitfire. Wing Commander Henry G Goddard had a very distinugushed career in the RAF: https://allspitfirepilots.org/pilots/3061
  4. Thank you for posting the pictures. This is a very lively diorama. May I ask about the source of the figures and the lorry?
  5. Thank you for sharing another part of your collection. The camo patterns of these fighters are really impressive. I also like the little diorama with the Polikarpov.
  6. Thank you for sharing pictures of your latest Spitfire. F/O Franck D. Hamilton from New South Wales was serving with 131 Squadron in the UK before he joined 457 Squadron. Sadly, he went MIA in July 1943.
  7. That is a good point. From that perspective a later retrofit seems to be little conceivable. I can only agree since my initial guess was that the drawings in that old Datafile book were not accurate.
  8. JF 317 obviously had already the standard radiators and intake: However, the old SAM Publication Modellers Datafile #5 about the Griffon Spitfires is showing a drawing of the prototype Mk XIVs JF 317 - JF 321, which were originally MK VIIIs, with small radiators. Could it be that they were retrofitted later on because of the extra cooling requirements of the Griffon engine?
  9. Spitfire JF 321 carburetor intake & underwing radiators Currently, I am working on my 1/72 JF 321 Spitfire Mk XIV prototype model. Judging from this well known picture am I right that this particular aircraft has a short carburetor intake like the early Mk IXs and Mk VIII/IX type underwing radiators rather than those that were on the production XIVs: https://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Spitfire/Prototypes/pages/Spitfire-14-Prototype-JF321-on-the-ground-England-web-01.html
  10. This is an amazing model Alain. Did you know that there is an I-16 in Spain that is still flying in those colors? http://www.flying-wings.com/polikarpov-i-16-mosca-fio-madrid
  11. Indeed there is one. According to the homepage, this plane and another were shoot down by Beaufighters of 144 Squadron on June 26th 1943: https://orsodiving.com/de/messerschmitt-323/
  12. Thank you for sharing. I knew that the Soviets reenigned quite many P-40s with domestic engines but I have never seen a Hurricane with a Russian built engine. Was this a prototype only or did they convert a greater number of Hurricanes?
  13. A very interesting design, I was not familiar with that type before I saw your model.
  14. A beautiful pair of Mustangs. The wear and tear on the wings looks very realistic. You did an outstanding job. 👍
  15. The person who ran Avalon was Mr. Jan Ploc who sadly passed away on September 17th 2022. As far as I know he was also a member here at britmodeller. Indeed, the company had a lot of interesting decal sheets in the pipeline. Not only the Fairey Battle but also decal sheets for Harvards, Top-Gun Skyhawks and Spitfire Mk 22s. So far, I have not heard any news about whether these projects would be taken up by someone else. There was no further update or info on the Avalon homepage since the tragic death of Mr. Ploc either: https://www.avalondecals.com/ The same goes for the facebook page where activity seized in August 2022: https://www.facebook.com/avalondecals/ But maybe someone here at the forum knows more about the eventual fate of the unfinished projects.
  16. There are also some Xtradecal sheets that are featuring decals for a Fairey Battle in 1/72: Decals for a Battle Target Tug: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72143?result-token=OncXT 12 Squadron Fairey Battles with codes for 5 different aircraft: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72208?result-token=OncXT In addition,a new Battle of France collection is slated for release that also inculdes a Battle: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72343?result-token=OncXT
  17. Congrats Alain, this is a truly excellent model. The concept of a heavy lift transport plane was maybe ahead of its time. However, the Luftwaffe suffered a disaster when mounting a major airlift operation to resupply the Afrikakorps. On April 22nd 1943 17 Me 323 were shoot down by Spitfires and Kittyhawks of the Desert Air Force.
  18. Thank you for sharing. The modified Hurricane with the grey camo looks quite interesting. May I ask which Soviet engine was used instead of the Merlin?
  19. Thank you for sharing. The style of the shark teeth looks somewhat different that those of the Kittyhawks of 112 Squadron. However, there were many variations and styles. Given the open canopy, I am really wondering how the pilots of the this two-seater coped with the harsh winter conditions.
