  1. Excellent work as always Alain. 16th Squadron SAAF has a long history. Originally they were equipped with former South African Airways Ju-86Z aircraft. They also flew Martin Marylands and Blenheim Mk Vs. Later on 16 Squadron was a Beaufighter outfit in the MTO and operated in the Balkans. Today, the Squadron is still active and is flying the Rooivalk attack helicopter.
  2. A great model Alain. I really have to visit this museum when I am travelling to London next month.
  3. Nice to see another SEAC Spitfire being added to your ever growing collection.
  4. An Argentine P-36 is indeed a rare sight. In particular, this version with the fixed landing gear which was ordered to use the aircraft in rough-field conditions. A total of 50 of these airfcraft were operated by the Argentine Air Force. Whereas 30 were delivered by Curtiss the rest was license-built locally. The last Argentine P-36s were struck off charge as late as 1954.
  5. Congratulations Alain, your latest addition to your ever growing Spitfire collection is looking superb.
  6. Well done Alain. The camo looks excellent. Some CR 32s also served with the Austrian Air Force in the interwar period.
  7. A very beautiful model Alain. 25 Squadron was the sole RNZAF unit that was equipped with the SBD. Although there were plans to have more Kiwi SBD squadrons the RNZAF opted for the Corsair as a fighter-bomber instead. Still, the only RNZAF SBD unit distinguished itself in combat and flew a total of 530 operational sorties from March to May 1944. The particular aircraft you modeled NZ5057 BuNr 36925 flew 36 combat sorties and was returned to the USN on May 20th 1944.
  8. Nice to see your latest add-on to your Malta collection. I always admire how you are putting together the tiny black aircraft serial numbers in 1/72 for each and every plane. It takes a lot of effort and patience to align them correctly.
  9. A very beautiful P-47 with an attractive nose-art. You did an excellent job.
  10. Beautiful model and indeed another masterpiece Russ! I like the carrier deck diorama you created for the pictures.
  11. Dear Santiago, Thank u for sharing these pictures of the latest part of you and your Dad´s collection. The rigging of these planes is indeed outstanding.
  12. Well done, Alain. An overall metal RAAF Beaufighter is indeed a beautiful sight. I am looking forward to seeing your next Spitfire.
  13. Beautiful model and a great tribute to a brave Canadian pilot who sadly did not survive WW2: https://acesofww2.com/can/aces/audet/
