  1. Hi Marc, VERY impressive, it's the nicest one I've seen yet. BRAVO ! Jesse
  2. Hi Marc, Thanks for the comments, working on the Discovery and proving to be a bit of a challenge. Next two in line are the Great Western and Great Eastern. Very weird story about that one. Jesse Thanks Richard. Jesse
  3. Real cool collection, love the diversity of them. Jesse
  4. Thanks Orion, now you gonna make me blush... Jesse
  5. Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply, that site is very good, found one I did not know about. I agree, sail power will take more & more space, one can not deny the virtue of the applications, especially the cost to run these with fuel. Jesse
  6. Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply. As for scratch building, I never was into it on a large scale, I do appreciate very much the ones that do it, and the ones you do, I have been gathering tools for plastic for the last 30 years or so. I much prefer big ships, the bigger the better, space is no concern, I have some that are 90cm long so imagine scratch building those, it would take a major investment in tools only not counting the rest of it. Added the Alabama on my hunt list. Regards, Jesse
  7. Hummm, wait for it, there are usually something waiting around the corner... Thanks for the info, I will try this for sure, if you dont mind, I'll drop you a PM when I'll be ready so you can tell what I need to buy. Jesse
  8. Been trying for a few months to gather a collection of dual power ships, I may be close to having most of them (plastic). Here is the list that I have so far. Great Western Great Eastern Nippon Maru Harriet Lane Amerigo Vespucci Discovery 1901 Kearsarge Napoleon Susquehanna Pourquoi Pas Please let me know if I'm missing some of them, I have not been building ships for a very long time, so you know this much better than me. Thanks & regards, Jesse
  9. Hi Beefy, Outstanding! Just to think that these guys spent hours on end in those is a feat by itself. Jesse
  10. Thanks, but no need for the photos, I had some from a friend that was there a few years back. Jesse
  11. Bonjourno Roberto, Thanks for your comments. All is getting better now, the cast is off her leg and she is in physio now. See post ''real bad day''. Come April we will probably spend a few weeks in your country, Rome, Venise, Pompéi, should be great. Jesse
  12. Hi Hans, Thank you for the kind words, she is getting quite rare, they made one at 1/100 scale, but that one is impossible to find, last week I found her sister ship Kaiwo Maru at 1/100 but, in the US, but after almost convincing them to send it, but USPS refused because of its size, and having it sent by UPS would have made the shipping cost ridiculous. Jesse
  13. I had a discussion with Sam about those here See my last reply, maybe you can take a chance & contact this guy, maybe he can get another Napoleon. eBay.com.au look for a seller by the name ''modelshipyard''. Let me know. Jesse
