  1. Thanks Mike! :)

    2. Being that this aircraft was photographed in mid-1944, and the fact there is no pictures of the right hand side of this aircraft. It's very likely this particular aircraft on the right hand side does display as I have it shown here(QP-Z). In fact, "Detroit Miss" of the 361st FG, the same group in the pic you posted on "Mish's" thread on "Cripe's A' Mighty" had its call letters laid out in the same manner(E2-D) on the starboards side of the fuselage and was in theater at the same time.

    Regards,

    Hurry

Then why is your port nav light green

  2. Good looking kit Mish!

I notice three things off on her though...

    1. You forgot the red dot on the main gear skirts

    2. Wrong drop tanks... the drop tanks used in the ETO late are the English made 110 gallon paper drop tanks. The tear drop American made tanks late were being sent to the Pacific.

    3. You starboard wing lights are in the wrong order. going to the nearest to the leading edge to the rear it should be amber orange, green and then red. ;)

Outside these minor visual discrepancies, she looks amazing Mish. ;)

    Regards,

    Hurry

I have pics of European mustangs from Jan/Feb 1945 with the tear drop tanks, and all my reference books refer to the recognition lights as being red, green and amber.
