  1. Guys I'll be out of pocket for awhile if anyone has any question get in touch with Mike or Mish, they'll be able to help, I'll check in when I can
  2. Yep it's getting closer and I'm having second thoughts about the Helix, thinking now I might start with the Airfix Merlin and doing a conversion
  3. I didnt like the paper belts that came with the kit so I decided to find some suitable PE belts. I know they are not the right color but I DONT care they'll work. still have a little bit more to add and I'll start assembly of the cockpit.
  4. A earlier build that I never got around to posting. 1/48 Academy F-4B built OOB except for some True Detail seats, decals are from Furball and the base is from 3Wire Design
  5. all the strengthening plates added to the left side interior
  6. One side of the ribs and cross members done and started to add the strengthening plates
  7. Before I forget to mention it, the ceiling is 5mm to long and will need to be shorted at the back (Fly has confirmed this)
  8. Unlike most kits the instructions start out with the interior ribs instead of the cockpit, so I started out with painting the interior, primed and pre-shaded then paint after that dried I started applying the ribs(this might take a few days)
  9. sure you can, you still have a little time to decide
  10. I'm in with the 1/48 Airfix F6 Lightning of 5 Squadron while at Binbrook 1984
  11. it was a joy to build, just take your time and don't forget to add nose weight
  12. I dont build many 1/72nd scale kits but this was a commissioned build and a real joy to build. The Academy 1/72 C-97 built OOB using Model Master Metalizer's and Alclad's.
  13. It might be built under license, but it is built in N. Ireland so I would say it qualifies as to the title of the GB, but that is up to the host.
  14. you still have time to get one, it doesn't start until February
  15. overall it's a very nice kit, the only thing that it doesn't have are the locating pins in the fuselage to help with the alignment. I don't think this will be the only one I build though
  16. I'm in with Fly Models 1/32 HC.2 Wessex
