I have to know, guys & gals. have Airfix buggered up the instructions, by showing the oil tanks (F20) in the wrong part of the undercarriage bay? they show them at the rear. should they be at the front? (guess who has followed the instructions? 🤪)

Hi gang. I recently ‘found’ a couple of Revell 1/32 Lynx Mk.88’s in my stash. I’m doing one in the standard grey/light grey scheme, but I really want to do the special anniversary scheme wit( the other. however, the two browns for the Lynx on the sides north need a mix of three colours. has anyone got a single colour alternative they’ve used? phil.

MACH 2 ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH ARGOSY C MK1
CornishRebel replied to adey m's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
I’ll be bookmarking and referring to this, as I’ve just been offered one of these. fantastic work! 😎👍 -
Great build so far! 😎👍 I recently acquired one of these myself, and it is definitely better than the Dragon offering. from what I can ascertain, very few Fireflies had the track guards fitted. also, has anybody got placement measurements for those small square items on the hull sides? There are no location cues on the hull. also, how thick were the appliqué plates?

Hi gang I recently got given the old Airfix 1/72 Whirlwind HAS 22, to go with my other 1/72 FAA builds, but all the clear parts are missing, and I’ve had no joy from Airfix. does anybody know of a company that maybe does a vac form replacement, mainly for the main screen. I can probably make the other transparencies. cheers, Phil

CornishRebel replied to CornishRebel's topic in Aircraft Modern
Thanks. -
Hi gang. i'm curreently building the Trumpeter 1/32 Harrier GR.9 (I have the Wolfpack 100% LERX etc.) I also have the Wolfpack BOL rails, and some Flightpath AIM-9 Acquisition rounds. my query is... would they be carried on both BOL rails, or only on one? If only on one, what would be on the other one, to balance the load? cheers. Phil 👍

I have both the NeOmega and Pavla cockpits. The Pavla looks less complicated, but not as well detailed as the NeOmega one

I have just had an email from Airfix, that my new 'Q' sprue is on its way. Here's hoping -
Thanks mate I would have done it wheels up, but I had already cut & folded the wingtips. Lol
-
Hi all Has anyone built the new Airfix Zero 'wheels up'? The reason I ask is that I have managed to ruin parts C 22 & 23, the small inner doors and their supports/mechanisms. Does anyone have them left over and unwanted? I can reimburse postage, or help out if I can Phil

Hi all, My wife has asked me to build some of the Airfix Operation Herrick sets into dioramas to auction/raffle off for Help for Heroes. Problem is, the Lynx has no pilots! Does anyone know of a company making a dedicated Lynx crew? Failing that, has anyone found alternative figures from other kits that will fit? Hope you can help, Phil

As far as I know, and from the (limited) information at my disposal.... There was a gun camera in the nose (sometimes) and a tactical camera behind the bomb bay. That was it. Hope this helps, Phil

Has anyone else taken a hammer to their 1/32 Revell He219?
CornishRebel replied to CornishRebel's topic in Aircraft WWII
Lovely work, Guys. I also bought Eduard cockpit set, Nano seat belts and Brassin wheels and SAC Metal undercarriage...all wasted! I may save up for the SWS He219. Phil -
Hi all, I have just started my 1/32 HE 219, with Eduard goodies. My problem is, Eduard's interpretation of RLM 66 for the cockpit panels is very much lighter and bluer than most manufacturers' paints. Has anyone got a paint colour (preferably acrylic) that matches Eduard's ? all the best, Phil

My darling wife has got one on order for me from my local branch of Modelzone...unfortunately, I suspect it is going to end up brightly wrapped in special paper and placed under the Christmas Tree!!

And where do we go to get them? Phil
