  1. Like MRMRL I was thinking, where are the photos of the model rather than photos of the real thing! Blown away with this model and the scene. Just wow at all the details like mentioned above the Tesco bag 😀
  2. Managed it. The track is a temporary one as I have several spares that will be made/painted when the model is more finished. Shown is the front carriage.
  3. I've started to build one of these recently, but my modelling skills are no where near your level though. I've tried to add an image, but I'm useless and don't seem able to.
  4. Lovely work and paint work 😃
  5. I have the Donegan optivisor for my main modelling area, but needed to buy a second one for a temporary area. I baulked at the price of getting another Optivisor, so I purchased the following instead; https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0B1DGQT9B?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Whilst not as good as the Donegan, for the price I could not criticise it.
  6. I've just pulled the wallet out and purchased the Hobby 2000 one from Hannants as I already had got the new Vk100 01 Mammut from Takom. Looks gvfm. Definitely ex-takom as the PE has Takom on it.
  7. Totally awesome work! Superb paintwork and weathering.
  8. Interesting bit of new here that he is working with Takom to release his own branded kit of the M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" in 1:16, in which he says that it will be available for under $150
  9. That's really cool. Wish I had your skill (and patience).
  10. Really, really nice and apt as I have nearly completed the same Takom kit myself (but still in one piece 😄).
  11. I've been amazed looking through this thread with the work. With no update for a while, I hope all is well with you Magpie.
  12. Thank you all for taking the time to reply - given me plenty of food for thought!
  13. Hi all, With Tamiya Lacquer paints seemingly to be in short supply, can anyone recommend another brand that might be easier to purchase/source? I looked at purchasing the full range of LP at one time as I haven't got any yet, so as a second quick question, are Tamiya's the brand to go for or is there another superior paint?
  14. Wow, just wow, Seeing this literally just as I was watching the PBS documentary on Vietnam too! 👻
  15. Makes the one I built look like a five year old built it . Very nice indeed!
  16. I have this in my stash. If I could reach even near this standard when I get round to build it I would be amazed. Superb work! As a side note, does anyone know of a good stockist in the UK of the storage items that Scooty mentions?
  17. Thanks to all you guys for your replies. Much appreciated.
