Very impressive, but the sheer size makes unlikely that I will have space for one. Aould like to build a 1/144, though.

Always good to see a Brazilian P-47, thanks for sharing.

Nice model! What is the story with those "flowers" under the horizontal stabiliser?

This was a wild (weirdly) looking, beautiful ship, and your build captures it at her best! Congratulations!

That’s one of the best I’ve seen

You can’t ever have too many Skyhawks, particularly when they look as good as this one.

I agree with you, the Academy F-4J is a great kit that sometimes gets a bad rap for no good reason. I was very impressed by how good the fit was, nearly no filler needed. I love what you did with yours.

Gorgeous; I want one too!

Outstanding in every aspect. Including the photography. Made me feel like I was seeing the real plane.

Great stuff. Any comments about the fitting and quality of instructions? I have been discouraged from building a sea Harrier because of the comments about the old kit available in 1/48...

Looks perfect to me. Congratulations!

That's actually the entry I made on Scalemates using a photo from the Shizuoka model show a couple of months ago, I would expect the kit's release within the first 6 months of 2024.
I can't see this being like the 350th Didos or Nelsons, where they were given an entry in the catalogue every year for about 4 years whilst things that were never in the catalogue get a sudden unannounced release.
Keep an eye on this link to Trumpeter's upcoming monthly releases, check around the 20th of the month, that'll be the first place to see new releases.
Hope that helps,
James.
I will be very happy if this materialises. Proof that good things come to those who wait, after resisting for years to pay premium price for one of the old Heller 1/400 kits...

Hi all
I was delighted when my local hobby shop started advertising a new kit of the helicopter cruiser Jeanne d'Arc in 1/350. Scalemates has some initial info, and the Trumpeter web site none that I could find.

I hope this won't be another story like the Dido class cruiser...

Nothing wrong from where I see it. The metal finish looks great.

Congratulations, excellent stuff. And a great story behind the planes, too.

Congratulations on the superb job and the award. Did you have a reference picture for the hull plating?

Very well done your Hurricane, Marcello.
No I don't have made this one,but the D from the same squadron.

Thanks for the encouragement. I worked with the niece of the pilot of HA-F, who died on his first Spitfire flight (one of the ones delivered by Operation Bowery). She told me the story and I thought it was worth of a tribute.

Thank you Marcello. I have still 19 Malta Spit in my stach. I had already make 15 Malta Hurricane, More than 300 Spitfire?
Alain
I have only done one…
have you done this one?

Yes I think Roden club badges are available.
They come in six parts with four optional pieces....
Keith
But the pieces fitting is not optimal and requires considerable filling and sanding

So, what happens when you run out of Malta Spitfires? Malta Hurricanes, or Spitfires elsewhere?
Great build by the way.

Beautifully done! These are clean aircraft, and you captured this one well. The only problem I see with the kit is the wing-body fairing (WBF) aft of the trailing edge. The -135 has a more tapered and splitting-edge sharp WBF that would be difficult to replicate on this kit without recourse to serious surgery--not a criticism of your work, but of Roden's research.
Thanks for the compliment. I know that this is an inaccuracy, and there are a few others. I build out of the box, and fix what I can using home made items, not buying aftermarket. I make an exception for decals if I want to represent a specific plane, or if the decals are too old to be useful.
If I had the chance I would like to fix the placement of the “mushroom” antennas, which I noticed (too late) that they are slightly staggered not all in perfect line. But the idea of messing up with needing to paint again is just too much, I have already moved to the next…Given the small scale, I am reasonably happy that it ”evokes” the real thing.
