  1. So ... I get with this model the 2nd place on the Czech Republic National Championship - Category Airplanes, scale 1/72
  2. I put more photos in another thread to finished kits
  3. My latest finished project - "little bit" upgraded Hawker Tempest Mk.V 1/72 Academy kit. I made design and 3D print of the new cockpit, wheelbay, gunbay and engine. (all of them will be available on www.u3d.cz) The crazy is that during my work on the project another producer notify a new kit of this plane ... "c est la vie" ( now I know that the KP is not much better ... who knows how wil fit the Airfix )
  4. Just small progress. Cockpit is painted and fuselage ready to close.
  5. Hello all, I hope I will start again the topic in better place. This is project of upgraded Tempest - Academy kit I made a lot of stuff by 3D design in Solidworks and then 3D print (more details here: ) Now the project of build starts ... no way back. The first step is rivetting
  6. In case you don't want to build it just now ... wait I heard that Tamiya work on it.
  7. I agree ... Tamiya is actualy the best choice on the market ... the other kits are cheaper, but with bugs or limitations. Specially decals from Academy are ugly. If You want to build M version you can use Special Hobby kit ... it is Academy plastic parts with conversion frame from Special Hobby (and some PUR parts I think) and nice decals. (I don't know the UK price)
  8. Bristol Centaurus I already have www.u3d.cz/cgi-bin/getfile.pl?ID=31
  9. If there is more interest, then probably yes ... but I'am not sure that Academy kit is good base for this conversion because of the thin of the body. The conversion to Tempest Mk.VI could be more simple.
  10. Hello all, (sorry for my poor english, I'am not native speaker) For a start a little story. When my friend wanted me to design 3D model of Bristol Centaurus engine, I fall in love into the shapes of the Tempest. Since I have Mk.II done for long time, I decided for Mk.V by Academy. I said to myself, I have a model, I have metal parts, I have resin parts. ... So I have to open the box and the project ... After looking at what i have I said to myself "what is it?" I have to do it again and so I sat down at the computer again and start designing a new parts. ... new wheelbay ... new cockpit ... why not the gunbay ? ... why not the engine ... ? And now all the 3D design is finished... all the parts are made and dry-tested if fits ... And now begin the real build. I don't know how to place there some images ...
