  1. The tinkering and fiddling continues, such additions according to the documentation. Although the documentation raises more question marks than it answers, I struggle on.
  2. The work is in progress and I am trying to make tension in the truss, and I purchased the turnbuckles from Lukgraph.
  3. You could say that the work is finished, now it's up to me to authorise whether everything is as it should be and to do a dry fitting on the pedestal of the monument. Even my son Peter got involved in the work on the monument by painting with me.
  4. It was time for the chessboards and lasers to go.
  5. Masking removed and so the camouflage came out, now it's time for the chequers.
  6. A few pics of painting the camouflage on the wings, the ones that go on the monument. And on the model the work goes on, for now I am doing the interior of the fuselage.
  7. Aged this model is, and very much so, I know it from my school years. Unfortunately my model didn't make it to the present day, but I have it somewhere in my stocks waiting to be built. Good luck with it.
  8. You have no idea what the look on the face of an employee at a paint-mixing shop when I told him that I needed to buy car paints to paint the plane, specifically the wings. I had to explain everything to him and tell him the story of the fallen crew. I can tell you that he surprised me very pleasantly, I did not expect such an involvement in choosing the right camouflage colours. And the work continues both on the model and on the wing. Today only the progress on the wing.
  9. You have to wait a little while longer for this story, this is being dealt with by members of the association. But as soon as it is ready I will upload it here, there should be an article as well as a video. I have the task of supplying the materials for the wing, shape and size, and to paint it in camouflage and apply the chequered pattern. As it was in the original.
  10. What I could manage to do at home on the wings for the memorial is done, the rest will already be done at my work. My boss agreed and I was given a room to paint the wing. I can't help but thank you for your help.
  11. Work continues to move forward slowly. The truss prepared for painting and the rest of the equipment under construction is.
  12. So now it's time for that surprise. There was a memorial erected at the site where the plane went down, but the tooth of time has done its work and a new memorial is now being erected. I am also taking part in this personally, I know such a boastful post but sometimes you have to have one. Thanks to the association that took it upon itself to erect the new memorial, we were able to reach the last living witness to the event. We also managed to interview 94-year-old Mrs Ziora, who was 10 years old at the time and was at the site. Mrs Ziora told us a very interesting story about the heroic fight of the Polish crew against the German infantry. Returning to the memorial, I liked the wings that will be placed there. Interview with Mrs Ziora. Wings under construction. And already at my place in front of the workshop.
  13. I will try to take better pictures.
  14. I'm struggling to apply the decals to the corrugated surface of the wing from the top and I'm having an even harder time on the underside due to the reinforcing strips. So decal liquids and forward, nothing else left for me.
  15. LUBLIN R.XIII D 1:32 LUKGRAPH It was supposed to be from FLY both "Tunnan" but life has verified the plans as always. As a tribute to the fallen crew there is Lublin R.XIII D in 1:32 from LUKGRAPH. The model will be built in the colours of the 1st Platoon 26 EO (observation squadron) of the 2nd Air Regiment Cracow. The probable designation of the aeroplane is the letter E on the fuselage, the military number of the aeroplane is 56-126 and the under wing number is 16 K. The crew consisted of Lt. obs. Leon Wrzeszcz and Staff Sergeant Pilot Adam Baran. On 1.09.1039 the aircraft was shot down by ground fire and crashed in the village of Piasek near Strzebinia / Lubliniec, the crew died. The deadline for making the model is very short, because I want to make it in time for the unveiling of the newly-made memorial at the site of the plane crash. So much for the story, and now for the model; in the box we have everything we need to build it. From the extras there is an instrument panel available for it in the company YAHU MODELS YMA3231, which I will use in the model. Thanks to the companies LUKGRAPH and YAHU MODELS for their help. ps. There will be a little surprise in the next post.
  16. Masks removed after painting with the last camouflage colour, that's how it came out for me.
  17. For painting I used a kit from "HATAKA" dedicated to the 1939 Polish Air Force, HTK-CS01 from the orange line. The underside and top are already in colours and I am trying to do the camouflage that IBG proposes. For easier painting the model is in parts. Masking done and I only have the green camouflage colour left to apply.
  18. These PE strips are reinforcements for the hull. And for painting I'll use HATAKA paints dedicated to Polish aviation, but in case I need to I'll write in the post what I'm using at my place that all the planes from the 1939 defensive war are in the plans first and the others too. I have a few P.24s but I will show them soon too.
  19. "Kobuz" prepared for painting is already there. I know the photo is a bit blurry but I think you can see everything. It's just the way it is with me that I take a photo and don't always check how it came out and I keep building the model.
  20. Thanks for the info, I have a variety of materials and this is also where I was looking for information. I already have a few models on the shelf and I recommend IBG, their models are very bespoke. There are also a lot of interesting extras for them from different manufacturers. I have more chequerboard models planned to build, I will post reports here.
  21. Fuselage glued together and sheet metal from Yahu models taped.
  22. While doing some cleaning, I came across another model started years ago. There are still quite a few of them in my closet and the studio is also swamped with them and it's high time to finish them too. That's just for the record. Coming back to the model, I have a model of the Polish fighter plane PZL P.11g "Kobuz" in 1:72 from the IBG Models offer (cat. no. 72523). This is the last version of the P.11 and was built in one copy. The outbreak of war prevented further work on it. There are no photos or plans of what it looked like, so a model will be built based on what IBG Models offers in its kit. This will be such a hypothetical (what-if) version. The kit comes with a choice of two engine covers as well as two undercarriage options, wheels alone or in covers like the PZL P.24. There are two types of propellers on the frames too, two-blade and three-blade. In the manual, IBG included three paint schemes, two of which are the typical gray/haki/blue and the third is camouflage, and these are the ones I chose. On the PZL P.11g "Kobuz" Lt. pilot Henryk Szczęsny scored two air victories on September 14 and 15, 1939. Returning to the model I had the interior ready, but the fuselage not yet closed. Of the extras, I used products from Yahu Models, which I thank for providing them. And they are these kits: YMA7212 Instrument panel YSM7227 Accessoriess
  23. I will be watching your progress. I have it planned in 72, 48 and 32 but for now I'm trying on the G version "Kobuz" in 72 from IBG. There was only one copy of the G version and it has 2 shoot downs to its credit. But back to your 11c, if you need anything, go ahead, I have some materials. As far as HATAKA paints are concerned, I have not had a chance to test them and I can say that the orange series is great for airbrushing. The red series is also suitable for airbrushing, but I cannot paint with it. The blue one is for airbrushing. Just ask if you need anything.
  24. Macchi C.202 "Folgore" in 1:48 completed in Commander 153o Gruppo camouflage. Model straight out of the box and camouflage painted freehand.
  25. This is the last entry from the construction of the model. Macchi C.202 "Folgore" in 1:48 completed in Commander 153o Gruppo camouflage. The rest of the photos in the gallery.
