  1. Work continues, the sheet metal is assembled and the interior is ready.
  2. So undercarriage shin together with tailwheel corrected, but still almost all of it will be out of sight.
  3. Pre-assembled cabin interior including instrument panel from YAHU and belts from EDUARD.
  4. S.M.79 - II "Sparviero" 1:48 Trumpeter Just for relaxation and to de-stress in the break between building PZL P.24B and LWS-6 "Żubr" and renovation at home, I threw on the workshop such a quick project almost straight out of the box. Model S.M.79-II "Sparviero" in 1:48 from Trupeter and from the extras are: -YAHU MODELS - YMA4840 Instrument panel -MONTEX - Maxi mask MM 48026 -PART S48-121 exterior -EDUARD Seatbelts Italy The model has been known for years so only these photos to start with go. By the way this will be such a tease to paint the Italian camouflage while waiting for the call from the shop that my S.M.79 "Sparviero" model from EDUARD in 48 is now available for collection.
  5. The model assembles like LEGO bricks, and I am also planning to build the Greek one, as well as all versions of PZL P.1 to 24. From the last announcement it seems that there will also be a version with the PZL P.24G cannon. And the additions in 3D are replacements of plastic parts and nothing needs to be reworked in the model. And at my place painting, masking and so on is going on and on until the finishing touches are made.
  6. The painting will be with a commemorative inscription to mark the birthday of Tsar Boris' son. Wheels in fairings, cab full but open and without front windows in the opening section. The underside of the flap a little differently painted as in the photos and not as the instructions show. I also changed the camouflage colours, the bottom is silver as indicated in the manual and I changed it to Polish light blue-grey and the top is unchanged, i.e. Polish light khaki from the HATAKA palette. But in my plans I have another P.24B with the distinctive marks introduced in 1941, in the manual it is this white 5.
  7. Looking at the documentation and photos, there are modified locks on the engine cover outside the prototype to open it. Seemingly nothing but such a small detail I did on the cowl.
  8. Well, I'm off with the build. To start with a working plan, or what the finished model should look like. The manufacturer gives in the model an open front and half of the bomb bay. And I want to open both chambers and the lower rear gunner's position, the bomb armament is not included as well as the rear gunner's position is empty and closed. Now coming back to the model the fuselage in the 48 is in two parts and the 32 is in four. The first cut is the gunner's stand, the material is more brittle than resin and cutting goes but you have to be very careful. And I managed to cut, now only to make the interior I have to.
  9. I looked at the documentation I had and didn't even know how much of this goodness I had. And this is from the following publications: "KAGARO", "MILITARIA", "POD LUPĄ", TBiU and "STRATUS" and collected over the years. And the pilot's cockpit came to the forefront, I have retrofitted the missing parts and wires, it is a pity that all this will not be visible. There are two clocks on the right frame, but in the instructions they are all black and in the photos you can see the numbers on them and I put them there too. On the right-hand clock I smeared the clock surround and glazed it as it is in the photos and plans.
  10. I managed to finish the P-61 A "Black Widow" from GWH, the model depicts the machine with its own name "Lady Gen", Florennes, Belgium, december 1944. The rest of the pictures will be in the gallery.
  11. And this is what the contents of both boxes look like after unpacking, the construction instructions are as a pdf.
  12. The interior is done, and the printed seat with headrest and straps is one piece and makes the build very easy. There's not even anything to compare with the kit parts. And this is what it looks like.
  13. Honestly, I don't know what to write other than to show off my new acquisition and that is another 3D printed model from Art of Trans from the 3D Polish Wings series. It is a Polish bomber plane LWS-6 "Żubr" in 1:48. Compared to the first model I built from them, which was PZL.46 "Sum", you can see the improvement in the quality of workmanship. It is more precise, the vacu glazing is also very nicely done. In addition to the printout and the aforementioned vacu glazing, we also have decals in the kit and the instructions are in pdf. And how the model is put together will come out during construction. There are few pictures and the documentation is also very poor but I will try to make something from this kit to please the eyes. My model will represent the serialised version of the LWS-6 A. Below are two boxes of happiness because this is how the LWS-6 "Bison" arrived packed to me.
  14. Work began with the removal of the radiators from the sides of the fuselage, in their place will come the 3D printed ones.
  15. There was a bit of playing around with the camouflage on top, shading the surface so as not to overdo it, and that's how it came out. I didn't manage to keep the radar and I wanted to make a milk-coloured transparent cowl through which you could see it. Instead of the radar, I had to put a weight in there and I painted the cowl a milky colour. And as you can see from the photos I don't yet have a place to do a photo shoot, my studio like the rest of the house is under renovation.
  16. The first colour of camouflage already applied, I did the delicate shading with a lighter grey colour.
  17. And here's my nightly write-up, now just the camouflage and it will be ready.
  18. In a nutshell the work on the engine at my place looked like this. Ready and prepared for camouflage painting as is the whole model.
  19. Masking completed, now painting. And a change of concept, I wanted to make the radar cover transparent and milky so it would be visible. But this concept fell through because I misbalanced the model and the radar would not be visible.
  20. You know, I have a feeling that if I put a model on the shelf waiting for parts to arrive, it will stay there for a very long time. I prefer to make up the missing part of the glazing and finish the model.
  21. TRAGEDY!!! It so happened that part of my glazing disappeared. I searched all over the workshop and couldn't find it so I was left with no choice but to emboss myself with a speech part. The work in progress is.
  22. The viewfinder is already in its new place, along with the customised viewfinder glass, a little more colour and it will be ready.
  23. This is what the interior looks like before sealing. I looked at other accounts and fitted a load, the barrel ends were also cut off because they would get in the way when painting. Also there was a problem with the instrument panel, which I simply moved forward and the problem was over. Just when I thought I had solved all the problems, I had to move the sight downwards, which I did, because the glass didn't fit. The interior is now complete.
  24. There is still a bit of time left until Christmas and here IBG Models sent me a gift from me in the form of their new model of PZL P.24 B aircraft (72554) in Bulgarian paintings and the model came with 3D printed extras. And there are two kits dedicated to P.24 series aircraft: IBG 72U023 Radiators and Venturi Tube for PZL P.24A/B/C/E - 3d printed (1:72) and IBG 72U025 Pilot's seat with seatbelts for PZL P.24A/B/C/G - 3d printed (1:72). I would like to thank IBG Models for the supplied model and accessories. That's enough introduction now it's time to see what's inside. After opening it up, this is what it looks like inside. All the mouldings. Two plates and a film. Decal sheet and what I found very interesting is the lettering ( number 26 ) on the tyres! A revelation for me. There are three camouflage variants to choose from, I haven't chosen which one I will build yet. And as you can see there is also an invitation to "Babaryba 2024" it is the biggest and best modelling event in Poland. A complete novelty of IBG Models company, that is their 3D printed add-ons and here they are dedicated to PZL P.24 family of aircraft. All in all, we have a very interesting version of the P.24 in uncommon paintings with very interesting additions. I still have to look at the source materials to see what more can be squeezed out of this model. There is nothing left for me to do but to invite you to continue this workshop thread. I would like to thank IBG Models for the supplied model and accessories.
  25. Thanks, I try to make sure the finished one is pleasing to the eye.
