  1. Great work so far! Looking forward to seeing the completed build.
  2. This is my build of the M1A2 Tusk II by Rye Field Models. I haven't had much experience with full interiors, so this was a fun, and at times intimidating, kit to dive into. Painted with Tamiya lacquers, and weathered with oils and pigments.
  3. Great work! The subtle weathering is very convincing.
  4. Thank you for your comments everyone! Those tamiya weathering pigments really come in handy.
  5. This is my complete model of Academy's M1151, painted with Tamiya lacquers and weathered with oils and pigments.
  6. This is my build of the Panzer IV Ausf. G by Border Models. Done with Tamiya paints, weathered with oils and pigments.
  7. Here's my build of the RFM Panther Ausf. G. Painted with Tamiya lacquer paints, weathered with Tamiya pigments, acrylic and oil paint. As for my impressions on Rye Field Models, like many have noted before, I found the build overcomplicated at times, and the plastic was softer than I'm used to - that said, I'm very happy with the results.
  8. Although I don't build aircraft often, this is a kit that's been in my stash for a few years now, which I've just completed - my build of the Academy 1/48 F-4 Phantom, painted with Tamiya paints and weathered with oils and Tamiya weathering pigments.
  9. This is my build of Academy's T-34/85 with bedspring armor. Painted with Tamiya lacquers, and weathered with oil paints and pigments.
  10. This is my build of Meng's Jagdpanther G1, with add-ons from their working suspension and workable tracks kit. Painted with Tamiya lacquers, and weathered with oil paints and pigments. This is my first time working with and assembling workable tracks.
  11. Looks like we have our first unboxing video:
  12. This is my build of Italeri's 1:35 Sherman from the film "Fury." Painted with Testors and Tamiya spray paints. Haven't done an armor build in a few years so this was a fun kit to get into with a straightforward build. 1:35 M4A2 E8 Sherman "Fury" by tfcrafter1, on Flickr 1:35 M4A2 E8 Sherman "Fury" by tfcrafter1, on Flickr 1:35 M4A2 E8 Sherman "Fury" by tfcrafter1, on Flickr 1:35 M4A2 E8 Sherman "Fury" by tfcrafter1, on Flickr 1:35 M4A2 E8 Sherman "Fury" by tfcrafter1, on Flickr
  13. Thank you! The Tamiya polishing compounds really helped. I'd originally thought I'd have to wet sand the gloss layer but the TS clear covered so evenly that it was unnecessary.
  14. Great work! The Soviet space program is so interesting, and you've done an amazing job with the Antonov and Buran.
  15. My build of Dom's Charger Revell kit from The Fast and the Furious. Painted with Tamiya TS paints, with some light weathering done with oils and pigments. To modify the kit to be a bit more accurate to the movie, I added more supports for the roll bar, trimmed the license plate off the front, omitted the passenger seat, and moved a fire extinguisher to the floor. Also pictured is a comparison with my first ever model kit build, the '68 Charger. I'm very proud of the progress I've made the last 3 years of model building.
  16. My build of the 1989 Batmobile by AMT, done with Tamiya TS paints. Air intake mesh was from a scrap piece of mesh from a Revell Ferrari Enzo.
  17. My 1:25 Tumbler from Batman Begins (2005) by Moebius Models. Great kit overall, had some fitment issues getting the windshield attached, but I'm glad I test fitted before cementing. Done with Tamiya and Testors spray cans, chipping done with silver craft paints followed by a light dusting of Tamiya pigments.
  18. Thanks! This is the same as Revell's previous F-14A, just with new decals. There are no new parts in this kit. However it does include the chin pod from the F-14B (my model was actually missing those parts but replacements from Revell arrived yesterday). I'm not sure if it's the same as the Hunt for the Red October F-14 but it's the same as the Monogram F-14A.
  19. This is my build of Revell's 1/48 Maverick's F-14 from Top Gun. It's my first real crack at a jet fighter, and although it was expected, it was a nightmare to put together. Painted with Tamiya AS paints and weathered with oils and acrylic paint. 20. I love seeing brush painted models. Fantastic job on this build!
  21. The streaking is really well done. Great work!
