  1. What you have achieved is more in line with a piece of exquisite jewellery rather than a model, thank you for sharing. - Andy
  2. Hopefully you'll be displaying this with the body off, as it would be such a shame to cover up all glorious details - Andy
  3. Great build, especially like the engine details - Andy
  4. Fantastically clean build, I especially like the crome on the window surrounds.
  5. Never tried that, but I've definitely snapped a few, thanks for the tip. Andy
  6. Great work on the gearbox, again you've taught me a lesson as I would never have dreamed from starting from scratch. I'd have wasted my time on the old one. Andy
  7. Thanks Gents, it's really appreciated. Andy
  8. Progress!!! Interiors done, particularly pleased with the dash, used Bare Metal Foil on the dial bezels, improved the indicator switch and added the rivets to the bottom of the dash, this was only possible thanks to @CrazyCrank 's tip of using Micro Liquitape and a sharpened cocktail stick. I also made some 'door' cards to give a neat edge. More importantly though I have applied BMF to the body and the real stroke of luck is that it doesn't look to dissimilar the to tone on the bonnet. As ever thanks for looking and your patience - Andy
  9. I agree whole heartedly, if I would have attempted this I think I would have tried cutting each louvre to size first. Resulting in twice as much work and a worse result
  10. I have brought one, like you said it wasn't cheap but you do get an awful lot, new front shocks and springs, new dashboard with individual switches (which are unbelievably small), metal pulleys for the engine, new bonnet and a new windscreen plus numerous bit and pieces.
  11. Looks good so far, as for the minor scratches Mr Beans mini never struck me as a Concours vehicle so they be in keeping with the theme. Reference the airbrush spluttering the most common cause of this if you have a double action brush (but by no means the only one) is when you stop spraying you release the trigger in the wrong sequence. You should move the trigger forward to stop the paint first and then turning off the air. If you do this the other way round paint is sent to the nozzle with not enough air to atomise it so it stays on the tip of the brush, it is this bit of paint then comes flying off in one globule when the air is next applied. Hope this makes sense - Andy
  12. Looks fantastic in every detail. But the standout bits have to be bonnet and prisoner alloys. I only hope mine comes out this well when I build it - Andy
  13. Great build and as always stunning photography, looking forward to the next build - Andy
  14. Just caught up with this, deeply impressive thanks again for sharing - Andy
  15. Great work on the paint it looks perfect to me.
  16. Not really into bikes, but I like this! The exhaust wrapping tooks particularly realistic - Andy
  17. Bit of a weird moment today, I was following a truck with what looked like newly painted (red) Ford shell on the back. I was racking my brain to try and remember the model, just as the word Orion popped into my head a dark silver one drove past the other way!
  18. The muffler looks spot on, good luck with the paint Andy
  19. Is it possible to weather the model in such a way as to hide the missing bits of the decals? - Andy
  20. Really coming together, I really like you solution for the wipers and the woodgrain on the wheel really looks great - Andy
  21. Couldn't agree more, however your model is more a cup of tea and biscuits, and who doesn't like a cup of tea and biscuits?
  22. Thank you, I'm pleased with it. In reality the colour is more yellow and less orange than in the photo
