  1. Have a look at this thread by @silver911, it's all you'll ever need and so much more. Page 6 and 7 will be of most interest to you - Andy
  2. Great work, especially on the decals, she will be crossing the finishing line very soon. Its just a shame that you will not be able to see much of the interior - Andy
  3. It must be hugely satisfying to make something on that scale and that complex and then to get it to work as desired. - Andy
  4. Hi Nick, You've made a mistake, you need to change you tag to "Scratch and kitbashing at its finest". I'll be watching with interest - Andy
  5. Got to agree, the box is a very original and genius idea. - Andy
  6. A stunning model of the coolest car I nearly got to ride in - Andy
  7. I can only echo everybody else's sentiments, an excellent model of great looking car; but again not one I am familiar with. Thanks for sharing and enlightening me - Andy
  8. Just catching up on this and so glad I have, I own modelling books that are not as inspirational as you work. Please keep posting - Andy. PS you are far to harsh upon yourself with regards to your efforts at graffiti, if you walk around Norwich were I live the vast majority of the 'artists' are not Banksy's
  9. That's an understatement! Already looked forward to see what you're going to do next - Andy
  10. Every now and again you see a model on this forum where the like button isn't enough, this is definitely in this category. Absolutely flawless - Andy
  11. And what a great decision to replace the wheels as they look Splendiferous . Plus there all four wheels are on the floor, always a great relief. - Andy
  12. I'm sure you have commented in a previous build that interiors are your thing, I can see why this is fantastic - Andy.
  13. To pick out a favourite bit of this build seems rather churlish, however the centre console is stunning - Andy
  14. Sublime modelling. When I was about 15 the couple who lived opposite my best mate owned one of these. I remember we naively use to think it was just an old citroen and just ignored it. I also remembering them selling it, it was about a week before I read a magazine article and realising just what it was! and then talking to them about it and being told they would have been more than happy to take me for a drive! - Andy
  15. Hi Thierry, I've not been on the forum for a while, so I am just catching up on this. I Think it fare to say you have totally surpassed yourself with this build. Keep up the good work and already looking forward to the next instalment - Andy
  16. Great work all round, but I particularly like the shocks. I'll be watching with interest - Andy
  17. Sorry to read about your masking issues. Commercials are not really my thing, but there's something about this I find really appealing - Andy
  18. Thsnks Gents. When the head was removed the bores all looked perfect and now with the reinforced head gasket she's better than new. She's also had her thermostat moved, because when supplied new it was fitted in the flow from the radiator to the engine. Now its after the engine and before the radiator, where it should be. So next year I hope to take her on trip to either Wales or Scotland for a proper drive - Andy
  19. Great photos and model, I particularly like the overhead shot - Andy
  20. Beyond impressive, simply stunning imagination and fantastically executed, thanks for sharing - Andy
  21. Unfortunately earlier on in the year the K-series in my Caterham did what K-series love to do and blew it's head gasket! It failed almost instantaneously (but very much catastrophically). This meant the cooling circuit quickly became over-pressurised forcing it out through the cap on the expansion tank and exiting through the vents on the bonnet before covering the windscreen. At first I thought I'd driven through a puddle, but then I could smell it was coolant and instantly stopped. How many cars have that level of intelligent engineering to let you know about a head gasket failure? . Luckily the only damage was the gasket so it's now repaired with a better quality gasket than the original Rover item, unfortunately though during that lovely weather it was in the garage whilst I was saving up for the repairs. - Andy
  22. The wheels are a work of art too - Andy
  23. Nothing terrible about that, fantastic job and absolutely full of character - Andy
  24. Blimey I didn't realise how long I've been off this, so hardly any progress to show for 3 plus months, but some . So I've added the additional bracing to the bottom of the engine bay (and yes the engine still fits). Followed by the roll bar. The one supplied in the transkit is for an earlier model so I've had to make my own. Recently my son has bought himself (although I'm sure I paid for it) a 3d printer. It the sort that melts plastic (PLA) so it does not give the fine surface quality of a resin one. However it more that good enough to make a jig. First step was a paper template, then draw it up in cad, print it off. Finally warm up a styrene rod with a hair drier and bend it n the jig. And voila Like I said not much but is still progress....oh and finally I painted the grill (also from Motobitz) which is going to make a huge difference to the look of end product, if I ever get there - Andy
  25. Incredible work on the suspension and she looks really at home on those rocks. When most of us photograph our completed models we really want them to be mistaken for a real vehicle and you most definitely achieved that on those outside shoots - Andy
