the sun strip on the top edge of the windscreen was made from the thin blue cling film you often find protecting clear acrylic sheet or mirror
Great idea, I would have never have thought of that - Andy

Honda Jazz (?)
It's a Honda City Turbo, which reminds me I must get around to finishing mine😁. If you look on the dashboard there is a brochure for the motocompo, a collapsible moped that could fit in the boot - Andy. PS great photos looks like a great day out.

Very neat work, she looks great. Personally I would make a stand for the roof and display it next to the car - Andy

I hope you like them all
I most certainly do, but as the others have said the 246SP is definitely the stand out, creating crash damage is not something I've ever tried and I'm not sure I would be brave enough. Thanks for sharing - Andy

I'm not a particularly Ferrari fan, so can someone enlighten me as to what the yellow thing is? I thought it was an F40 at first glance but it doesn't look right....?
Keith
Its a 348 Koenig https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1990-ferrari-348-ts-1, quite a rare beast, if you like that sort of thing

I think its a 365 gt 2 + 2 https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Paris_-_Bonhams_2015_-_Ferrari_365_GT_2%2B2_Coupé_-_1968_-_002.jpg and I definitely like that sort of thing - Andy

Not sure technically if these are true spots, but I'll post them anyway. My Caterham had a cold starting issue, so I've been at a specialist getting it repaired today (it turned out that the rubber mount the throttle bodies attach to was slightly perished allowing air to be drawn in), but she's all fixed and better than ever 😀👍. I won't bore you with hundred of Caterham pics (but trust me I could 😀). However this lovely Renault Alpine was parked outside
About 100 yards up the road there is another specialist, can you guess the Marque?

All in all a good day and it even stayed dry for the drive home - Andy

If I'd realised how rare they are (5 in the UK apparantly) I'd have grabbed a shot, but one of these was parked at the station today - 007 Land Rover Defender:
Must admit to being more shocked at the price in the article than the car itself though!
Thats very coincidental as I spotted this last week, not sure its an official model though.

Just found these photos from several years back when I took my lad and some of his friends go-karting.
The two at the front are about to be lapped by the two at the back, but all is looking good
I think the one in blue has finally got the hang of it
However not sure number 14 really has got the right idea.
oh dear
Now he's got jt😆😅
I wouldn't mind, but he done the same thing virtually every lap! Fortunately this wasn't my boy otherwise I'd have had to disown him!

To me it looks like the outside diameter of the outer tyre is larger than its inside diameter, but I've been wrong before (many times 😅), good luck with the fix. Even with this issue it still looks great - Andy

You have almost made a Liberty Walk car look tasteful (almost 😅🤣). Whilst the car is not my cup of tea, your modeling and photography skills most definitely are, top work as always - Andy

I've been looking at the side windows again and very conveniently the bottom part of the window frame is moulded into the glass section, so is missing from the body.
So using some thin brass sheet (formed on a photoetch bender) I was able to create a channel.
Which can be fitted to the topof the door and hey presto
Thanks for stopping by - Andy

That is a bit lovely, a resto from a banger racer, the full story for Jag World subscribers here. What sort of speciman uses a car like this for banger racing? 😠
Steve
Hi Steve, obviously I was completely obvious to the cars history when I spotted it, so thanks for the link. If you scroll down on this page there's a few pics of it in is banger days - Andy

Hi Andy
To create a master for the windscreen I mix the two parts of Milliput filler to create a suitably sized lump. I then push it into the screen opening from below with a suitably sized piece of cling film between the filler and the resin. This stops the filler adhering to the resin. Once fully set, the cling film is removed and I carve/sand the filler to the profile/shape of the screen. Then comes a bit of "guestimation" as I sand it further to allow for the thickness of the clear sheet (10thou) around the entire shape. Once happy, I polish the master with increasingly finer grades of paper. Finally, I use an old Mattel Vac-forming machine to create the new screen.
Hope that helps.
Trevor
Thanks Trevor for the explanation its much appreciated 👍- Andy

Another top job. I would be fascinated to learn a little bit more about how you make the windscreen. Do you make the mould roughly to shape when wet and then sand it to the correct profile when dry and do you need a vacuum former? Thanks Andy

Whilst out in the wilds of Norfolk, I spotted this in a yard looking very sorry for itself. I'm assuming by the wheels that is a replica - Andy

Came across this today whilst working on a farm, no one was around so I've got no idea what it is as the writing on the radiator badge had faded too much. There was a new set of ht leads on the drivers seat so someone's got plans for it
