    I believe AB910 was painted to represent an aircraft from 64 Sqn as it appeared on D-Day

    That's a good question....I was thinking more along the lines of the PRU blue used on the last PRXIX ops, and that you see on preserved aircraft such as the BBMF PRXIXs.

    The varying shades of PRU Blue available from the various sources is a little bewildering! I had originally thought the Xtracrylix was the nearest, but Tamiya rattle can AS-19 Intermediate Blue (US Navy) is very good Match for post-war PRU Blue.

    The F4 of 892 was on a shore detachment at an American base when the 'Colonial Navy' marking was added as a light hearted prank.

    Hi, many thanks, I have the Yahu IP and a set of seatbelts, had forgotten about PE in kit. With all the cockpit sets available for Spitfires (including Eduard resin/PE and Quinta etc), I'm surprised at the complete lack of anything for Hurricanes.

    Very nice model indeed! I have the Fly 11c to build. Where did you get the PE for the cockpit? There seems to be a shortage of 1/32 Hurricane cockpit aftermarket.

    Silly question perhaps, but does anybody do 1/48 RAF Bone Dome type helmets or something similar as an accessory?

    So based on what we know, the replica is painted in the same near as damn it colour of the original which has yet to be clearly identified, and, as yet, none of the model paint companies have produced a jar or tin of paint of that colour.

    Having seen various threads and discussions on the subject, is anyone aware of an existing paint shade by whoever that matches the aquablue applied to the K5054 replica at Tangmere which I'm told is a 99% accurate match to that applied to the original aircraft?
