  1. Inspiring stuff Pappy, but God has this thread dented my enthusiasm for giving this a crack, the fit seems extremely ordinary in so many places
  2. That is superb. Love the subtle tonal changes you've achieved with that preshading.
  3. Great work Pappy. Ridiculously good work, that photo of it next to the Humbrol tin puts things in perspective nicely. I'd love to see it next to your Wessex one day...
  4. Yes. The top photo is the Aeroclub conversion, the cockpit parts are from what I believe is the CMK resin set for the Aeroclub conversion. The Aeroclub conversion includes white metal seats and cockpit, the resin parts shown here are a significant improvement over the Aeroclub cockpit (to my non-expert eye.) More photos here Aussiemodeller
  5. Thanks Andrew, don't want to set a stupid price.. off to list the conversion and resin cockpit. I can't sell in the market place here as I haven't posted the requisite number of times.
  6. I stumbled across the Aeroclub Lightning conversion in my stash (forgot about it). What are these worth these days?
  7. Beyond amazing... scribing the panels before forming the shapes... genius/
  8. That is truly outstanding work. Finished product looks superb. The build thread was great too, mad skills you have there...
  9. Hi Pappy, how's your Apache coming along?
  10. Stunning work there Pappy. I was flicking through photos looking for something the other day and stumbled accross some shots I took while you were in Brisbane - did you ever finish those A-10s you were working on?
  11. Looking good. I'll expect to see the build article submitted for publication on www.impsqld.org.au///
  12. I've just started building the Hobbyboss AH-64D but am puzzled by the shape of the extended forward avionics bays (EFAB) Almost every photo of an operational D model I've seen shows an entirely different configuration - example: However, there is this one photo... And I've noticed the shape of the EFAB is the same in both the 1/72 Italeri and HB kits (although the HB has recessed not raised detail). Is the last photo of a prototype airframe? Is there anyway of making an accurate AH-64D in braile scale? I could try scratching it, but the only reference I have for the underside so far is this one... and it looks complicated:
  13. Pretty sure that pylon is not on straight... ruins the whole thing Top result Bruce, looks great. I hope I get to see it in the flesh one day soon.
