1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.IXe with TuAF markings

Thanks for your comments. -
Yet another tick to my bucket list. This is 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire Mk.IXe with the markings of TuAF circa 1947-1948. Thanks to Ozkan TURKER for the reference picture. According to the sources I have, all TuAF Spitfire Mk.IXe’s have clipped wing. It looks like this Mk.IXe (#6290) is the only one with classic wing. I have used Barracudacast resin seat, Eduard seat belts and instrument panel. Tamiya’s Mk.IXc kit converted to E wing by using “Alley cat” conversion set. Main wheels and Cockpit door replaced with Barracudacast goodies. Paints are Gunze Sangyo and Tamiya acrylics. Fuselage national insignias and flags on the tail are from Turquoise decals. National insignias on the wings are painted by masking. Happy modelling

Finally I found something in the below Xtradecal kit. This is 48-137. I think I can go on with this, thank you for the replies and help.

Hi again I made some research for the availability of the decals for my Buccaneer project For the Fox figure of the Sqd 12, the only option in 1/48 scale is Kitsworld's decal set. (first picture) However, this picture looks more like a kangaroo than a fox. I guess I can't use it. That's why I'm planning to produce it as a customized decal. (second picture)

Thanks a lot for the link .It is extremely detailed and informative, appreciated indeed. Actually, my aim is to build one of the S2Cs and then build another tricolor classic 70s one from the same kit. As you mentioned in the topic you linked below, I understand that the two Buccaneers in the pictures can be built without modification with the existing new 1/48 Airfix kit. (That s right?) I'm thinking of building the first of the pictures below, If necessary, I would like to ask questions during the construction, if I do not disturb you.. And I would like to ask one last question regarding S2C which I intend to build first Were these planes clean and pristine throughout their lifetime? So when finishing, should paint fading or weathering be minimal or not at all? Thanks again for your help "The kit has the correct bits for an early S.2A which were hand-me-down airframes from RN stock with no upgrades or Martel modifications (XT and XV serials). You can do one of these with no changes to the kit. They were, however, mixed in with S.2Bs in the same period so you need to know exactly which one you want to do. You just need to check references or, if you are after something in particular, just ask here and I will suggest something." You could do XV356 circa 73 for a 12 Sqn Bucc: Or you could do XV360 circa 74 for an OCU Bucc (be warned though that the OCU badge on the Xtradecal sheet is a different style than the one that appeared in the 70s

Hello everyone, I don't know if this topic has been discussed before, but are there any differences in appearance between Buccaneer S2C and S2A? So is it possible to built an S2B from Airfix's new 1/48 kit? Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot Joachim For the propeller; Griffon engines propellers were turning clockwise. So the direction of the propellers is correct. Cheers Thanks for your comments. -

Hello everyone, I would like to clarify some details for my future P-40 projects The subject is P-40 Mk.III Kittyhawk (long tail) coded GA-Q FR309 in 1944 ( Cutella - Italy) And the question, What are the colors of this Kittyhawk? Upper surfaces : Olive drab or RAF Dark green ?? Lower surfaces ; Neutral grey or Medium sea grey ? Or something else?? I guess these planes were painted in the field after they were sent to Italy. In this case, it seems that the upper surfaces are more likely to be RAF Dark green. But I have no idea about the lower surfaces. What was the previous color? Thanks in advance
