About Me
last updated in May 2023,
Hello and welcome to my 'Profile' page on BM.
My main interests are WW II aviation, especially the Luftwaffe, although I'm interested in just about any flying object and since joining BM 12 years ago I now have a collection of 72nd and 48th scale Spitfires. I grew up on the base at RAF Marham ( my Dad worked on Victors..) and after uni I worked at LGW for eight years with a 'major European airline' in flight dispatch..(primarily 737, F100 & A320 types). Son no. 2 flew with BA for a number of years but changed career just before Covid struck...
I've been lucky enough to have had a few articles published in the modelling press and my 'Luftwaffe Fighters - Combat on all Fronts' (Vol 1 and Vol 2) bookazines were published by Mortons and are still available from the publisher's website. I usually manage to get to the 'East Kent Scale Modellers' club on the second Tuesday of every month at the RAF Manston history museum- give it a shot some time.
Otherwise, why not check out my blogs....these are NOT monetised but simply a place to keep stuff that interests me. The modelling blog is my online display cabinet
