Mercedes MGP W01 - Revell - 1/24
Fnick replied to VinBizz4786_'s topic in Work In Progress - Vehicles
Hi Vincent That is coming together very nicely. I'm following very closely since I have the revell Mercedes MP4-25 (Jenson Button's car) in the stash. Keep up the good work. Nick -
That just looks so cool! Imagine that beast stopping alongside you at the traffic lights! Please can we have some more! OOB is soooo boring ð Nick

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster by Fnick - Aoshima 1/24

Hi Tommy Thanks for your comments! Cracking looking GT. Would be interesting to see how the rosso letto colour would look as a two part paint. Cheers Nick -
Looking good Ned. The only thing is I am just wondering if the two parts look too separated if that makes sense. I'm just wondering if some bracing or some sort of structure between the nose and the rest of the body would make it look more convincing. Only my two pennies worth! Nick

Stunning paint work and great detailing in the engine bay! Nick -
I had enough trouble doing the foiling on my Cadillac door cards and they weren't even attached to the interior tub. Great work. Nick

See now I see your build and think: I need to have a go at something crazy like that! ð Must be quite liberating not having instructions to follow! Looking forward to the next installment of "Pimp my 2CV!" Nick

Morning all It is done! Last few steps were an absolute pain. The door fitment is just awful... I managed to break one of the wing mirrors when fitting it and snag one of the windscreen wipers when giving it the car a final polish. ðĄ. I also need to be more careful when handling the body after polishing as I left a few scuffs and scratches when adding the extra body panels,etc... So those issues have been fixed as much as I dare to fix them without causing more problems! Better is the enemy of good as they say. Here's a few pics taken with my mobile so apologies for the quality... I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to get some more decent photos for the RFI post. Once again a big thank you to all who accompanied me on this journey. This has been a fun one and it certainly was interesting having the detail up set which I think has made some improvements especially where the grills are concerned. Thanks for looking, Nick -
That is going to be one mini with attitude when it's finished! Cracking work on the mods. ðð Nick

Good idea but no.ð I used Tamiya panel Line black and used enamel thinner and a thin cotton bud to tidy up the raised areas. I was a bit concerned about the thickness of the pain with respect to the thinness of the PE. Nick -

Afternoon all Slowly but surely... Not long to go now. Thanks for looking, Nick -
I'd be more than chuffed with a 3-foot model. At 1:24 scale that's just under 4cm...ð Nick PS: the tyres look great. I personally think you are being quite harsh with yourself IMHO.
