Glad I found this forum as I have just bought the Academy 1:400 R.M.S. Titanic Premium Edition with LED. This was mainly due to my love of the Titanic story (and that those of us who are 'shielding' in these strange times have another couple of months to endure).
It will not take long to go over my previous experience with models. Airfix aeroplanes 45 years ago.
Having read a number of posts on the forum I see that the advice is always well-meant and no question seems a stupid one. I may well push that to the limit, so apologies in advance.
I am hoping that patience, a desire to do the model well, and a bit of humour when things don't go right will end with me having a model to be proud of when I am finished.
The humour has already been needed when I saw the size of the photo-etched pieces!!
Looking forward to getting the benefit of all of your experience and tips. Ian
