  1. The CA-13 kit to be released within a month. Wheels with strenghtened patterns, exhaust etc. are done in 3D and the masters printed on 3D printers.
  2. Thanks Patrick, I keep informed the responsible people at this side of the globe too
  3. You have to bomb the MPM guys Anyway, let me express (on behalf of MPM staff) many thanks to you and the other gentleman that took part in the discussion about the "beest" camouflage schemes elsewhe on this forum. It may help to make the upcoming kits even better.
  4. Thanks! For robw: it is fine kit, the overall fit is great, only the cockpit detais are little simplified.
  5. Oh, forget to mention the kit was done in 3D, so the 1/48 version is very probable!
  6. From the few references I have on Vildebeest I understand the hatch over the navigator/bomber place was sliding, so it is apparently molded in closed position. Ïn case of navigator absence there might be be fitted an additional fuel tank. Differences between Mk II and Mk III are not clear enough to me, sometimes the picture legend says Mk II and in other source Mk III... I'm somehow lost here. The wheels are provided separately too, so it will be possible to make adjustments and fit them inside the spats. The rear cokcpit will include seat, two sets of spare ammunition magazines and gun+mounting. If anybody is willing to share the references, please contact MPM production manager (riedel@mpm.cz), they can update the tooling for the upcoming Mk IV and Vincent kits. Thanks.
  7. Thanks to Graham and Seahawk for historical notes! Some asked for the picture of the undersides, so here it goes. Cheers Libor
  8. Thanks for comments chaps! The colors are Gunze Aqueous, EDSG from the bottle with little off-white and the D. Slate Grey is mixed from H78 Olive Drab (40%) + H32 Field Grey (40%) and H11 White (20%). Regarding the scheme, its 711.squadron machine from RNAS at Crail, 1945. The web sources state that :"the squadron was attached to RAF Coastal Command and used to drop mines at night near U boat bases in the Bay of Biscay. For this job it was painted white underneath and black on the top front of the wings and nose". However, can't confirm if this is reliable information. Anyway, picture of this machine is here Avenger 711.sq
  9. Hello, this is Hasegawa Tarpon Mk.II kit built as Avenger Mk.II using my own additions (fuselage side windows, rebuilt cockpit, aerial mine in the bomb bay) and aftermakets: Eduard etched (cockpit, bomb bay and flaps), Quickboost exhausts and gun barrels), Aires wheels and Eagle Strike decals. Cheers Libor
  10. UPDATE: test shot build, please note some smaller parts as struts, torpedo rack etc. are not there yet; also the resin and etched are not yet available.
  11. Then it might be MN or M-News kit, they also did Spitfire XII, but it was in early 90's. From todays's short-run standards hopeless indeed.
  12. I'm curious which Mustang I kit you mean as AML never did a Mustang? Anyway, the AML P-40 kit is very diffucult to assemble, there are many serious fit issues. I built mine when it was first released, sometime in 2005 or so, and this experience is quite enough for me. The decals, etched and resin I save for the Airfix P-40's, unless these will be useable. Speaking of Czech kits, in my opinion that gold standard do deserve the MPM kits from galvanized tools.
  13. Thanks Mark, I'll probably toss a coin
  14. Hello, I'm in the process of building the FAA Avenger Mk.II and looking for information on landing flaps interior color, its "CIJ" 711 Sqn's machine based at RNAS Crail in 1945 in EDSG/DSG with Black fuselage and wing front parts and White underneath. Could the complete flaps be oversprayed in White too? Thanks for any thoughts, Libor
  15. The propeller is completely wrong, besides the shape issues it has about 3mm smaller diameter. I replaced it with a CMR item, the difference on finished kit is obvious.
  16. Hello, the EE337 converted from the Dragon kit. All the "navy stuff" was scratchbuilt, the etched early FOD's were custom made and the decals come from Xtradecals and Modeldecal generic sheets. Cheers Libor
  17. Ciao Giovanni, thanks for clarification; however, as mentioned above these kits are test shots only and especially the FR.47 will be further modified. It is confirmed it will have a new wing with proper size of the blister. Cheers Libor
  18. Hello, can't comment on accuracy until I put my hand on these kits. Anyway, sit of the canopy looks from some angles odd indeed, but on my Mk.22 I built all was fine. I compared it with pictures from 4+ book and especialy those on page 9 above show the same slightly "raised-like" effect. The canopy has to be slightly pressed down when glued to the fuselage.
  19. Hello, these are the first test shots as presented at Nürnberg Toy Fairs, some details are still being tuned up.
  20. Yes, some resin stuff and etched will be included. Can't refer on the 2/3 seat configuration though, haven't went into details so far. Cheers Libor
  21. UPDATE First test shots and last tool milling.
  22. UPDATE: First will be released Mk II/III: two camouflaged machines from Singapur and two pre-war "silver" ones, RAF and RZAF. Next from Frrom will be Vincent and Spanish Hispano Vickers with wheels. MPM will make (probably in Special Hobby range) Mk IV and Vildebeest with floats (Hispano and radial engine). Cheers Libor
