  1. Great release. The fire bombers are a much under-represented genre in my view. I wish someone did conversion kits for the Bae 146 fire bombers, in particular the Conair one with the giant side tanks. Either 1/144 for the Revell kit or 1/72 for the Combat Kits offering would be welcome.
  2. Frankly, I'd buy this even if I wasn't into post-war 'what if' builds - anything to help a Ukrainian producer at this time. I just hope some make it through to the UK suppliers. As it lost out to the Canberra mine will go into Vietnam War camouflage.
  3. Great Wall, why no re-issue of the single-seater Su-27 in Ukrainian markings? The war has been going on for more than a year. I suspect you would sell more than a few of those in the West right now. Actually any re-release of this would be OK as there are plenty of third-party decals and masks to do a Ukrainian example. It's Very difficult to find at the moment other than paying silly prices on eBay.
  4. I'll take one and hope it sells enough for them to do some more of the cancelled US bomber projects. Personally, I'd love to see a Martin XB-68 supersonic medium tactical bomber , which looked like a cross between a TSR2 and an F-104 and reached the mock-up stage. Not even Anigrand did that one.
  5. OK, so this thread started in 2018, five years ago, and now they are finally up to the final renders stage. (Yes, I read that they decided to start again.) At that rate of development we should actually see some cut plastic in around 2027. Why do manufacturers do this - all that announcing a kit way too early does is just leads to drawn-out threads like this, with a couple of 'any news on this' posts a year until finally something happens. We can all list kits that have been promised but have never actually seen the light of day (maybe that's another forum thread?). Come to think of it, I recall seeing a post somewhere of rough parts of an AZ Model 1/48 FD2 at Telford several years ago. Come on guys, I am growing old here...
  6. It's just shame that the Swedes didn't fly the UH-1D so PR might do that version! Since the death of Kitty Hawk there hasn't been a decent kit of the D, the most important Vietnam War marque, available in 1/48 (Italeri and ESCI issues are well known) unless you want to pay £££ on eBay.
  7. Great. Hopefully they might research the fact that one of the main UK-based USAAF variants in the ETO was the B-24H with the distinctive Ford nose and give us the first kit of that in any scale. Academy claim to offer this in 1/72 with its Zodiac schemes but that's not what you get in the box, and there are even third-party decals from Kits-World in 1/72 and 1/48 but no out-of-the-box kit to stick them on. The only option is to track down a conversion kit, which seems a bit of an indignity for an important variant of the most produced heavy bomber in history in the most heavily kitted conflict in history.
