M3 Lee Early Production, Miniart 35206 Interior Kit
edjbartos replied to edjbartos's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Thanks for that Nenad, I won't do an interior build unless I can show off what's inside, either by not gluing panels to the body as in this model or by doing simple mods to make parts removable. That's why I won't do a Miniart Panzer IV as It would be difficult to do that... The good thing about Miniart, you can view the instruction's online prior to purchasing the model so you can get an idea whether you can show the insides or not.... many thanks Ed -

Looking very good Maddoxx... Ed -
That really does look tremendous, the finishing that you have achieved is just superb. I like the dusting everywhere especially on the windscreen showing where the wipers have taken some of the dust off. Brilliant work... Ed

Hello folks, I have just completed my build of an M3 Lee tank, early production, 2nd Armoured Division, US Army 1942. The kit is from Miniart and is an interior build with a load of details as you will see in the coming photo's. There are quite a lot of photo's coming up, but this is an interior build and there are a lot of details to show... Here's a quick tour around the tank..... With interior builds, I always like to show off as much interior as possible, so I have constructed the model so that the engine and top hull panels are removable.... Here are a selection of photo's showing the interior details... A photo showing the turret cage with the turret and cupola on either side... A few photo's with the tank on a very simple base with a pair of Alpine figures... That's it, a brilliant kit to make, a model very highly recommended, hope you like it... Here's a link to the WIP https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235130113-m3-lee-early-production-miniart-35206-interior-kit-finished/#comments all the best Ed

Hello everyone, now for the final update on my M3 Lee tank. Not much extra work on the tank from the last update, just a bit of tidying up here and there, Here are some photo's.... So I wanted to add a simple base with some figures, the figures were from Alpine which are amazing. The only issue I had as some of you know, was in the painting of the eyes. Thanks to those who gave suggestions, I used a toothpick in the end, they are a bit on the small side but I wasn't going to try to make them bigger, I've been down that sorry road before, so these will have to do... That's it, there will be more photo's in the RFI a bit later on, another really enjoyable Miniart model, I'm getting to like these! Not too many issues, for once I don't think I dropped any major clangers for a change. The tracks were brilliant to do, I really liked those. As with all Miniart kits you really do need to look way ahead when building up or else you will have fit issues, especially here when building up the side walls, Other than than a brilliant kit... Thanks to everyone for looking in, for the likes and especially the comments and help. Really appreciated... Here's a link to the RFI https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235136881-m3-lee-early-production-miniart-35206-interior-kit/ all the best, hope you like it Ed

Looking good Darryl, I had to double check if this was a Miniart kit your doing, looked like it with all those parts in that assembly. Now that you have had a taste you'll be knocking out Miniart kits in no time 😁 Ed
