  1. Is anyone using the little-jet compressor mentioned above from modellingtools? I’m especially interested if you’re using it with a double action airbrush. I’m tempted to buy it. thanks!
  2. The bambi is quite a bit more than I intended to spend really. Three times the price of the airbrush.
  3. The compressor I have, which I used with my paasche, isn’t really up to the job for my Evolution. Can anyone recommend a compressor? thanks!
  4. Would it have made any difference if he wasn’t a ‘foreign gentlemen’? And what do you mean? An American tourist perhaps?
  5. Does it? I’m 56 and I don’t remember a time when gay didn’t mean what it does now. But you keep using it like Noel Coward if you must.
  6. I am also building the OcCre Berlin tram. I got it for Xmas so I’m not too far along. I have built the interior and have ordered some wood stain and green paint before continuing. I’m enjoying it so far. In fact I doubt it will be my last OcCre tram!
  7. Probably a left field one as I think this forum is mainly for plastic kits, but has anyone built one of OcCre’s wood tram kits? https://catalog.occre.com/model-tram.html I’ve built a wooden ship previously and have one ‘in progress’ by OcCre themselves, and do like the look of these. Darren
  8. I doubt it. With my eyes and clumsy fingers I’m struggling gluing the seat legs together.
  9. I’ve just started on this very same kit myself. Was looking for builds and found this thread. Very helpful for the excellent example of how to build it and the research you’ve done. 👍 Darren
  10. It went okay this eve! After practicing on paper and cd without problems I was emboldened enough to try it out on a model. The white Corvette Roadster probably wasn’t the best choice on my light grey primer as I couldn’t see it going on very well, but it was fairly trouble free in the end. I just kept the mantra air on, paint on, paint off, air off and if I occasionally forgot the paint off bit I restarted air on away from the model.
  11. Thanks both. I’ll have a go on paper and then plastic.
  12. I’m going to have a go with it on a piece of paper later today. Is the knack learning how to pull the trigger back a small amount? I suspect I was a bit heavy handed.
  13. I must admit I’ve not tried it again since as it seems such hassle. I’ve been brush painting instead
  14. Thanks Nigel, I think you’re probably right about me pulling back too far. I think I’m probably not always remembering to turn on air before paint and turning paint off before air also. Basically I haven’t worked out how to use it yet! another problem is I seem to have managed to get the airbrush stuck to the hose! The airbrush comes away from that part that connects to the hose but the hose is stuck to that part of the airbrush 🙄 I only screwed it together the way it seemed to fit 🤷‍♂️ Hairy sticks are so much simpler! darren
