  9. Hi, Slow but steady progress As I received some constructive comments regarding antenna mast as I decided to make it over. Still not the perfect one but a bit closer to the real thing - I think My attempt to depict binocular periscope ... ... and it's mount inside the vehicle Thats all for now. I am heading to sunny Croatia for next two weeks so more progress sometime in late September. Alexandr

  13. Are you sure it's the first kit ??? Very nice, great job ! Congrats...
  14. Hi Andy, Thanks for nice comment I did not have the possibility to "touch" the Special Hobby (SH) kit yet, but from the pictures I've seen the kits are totaly different. First of all, Stransky kit is completely new construction from the ground up and it is based on standard serial production Bücker Bü-181. The Stransky's model has more details in cockpit and also has the possibility to pose cockpit doors open - SH kit has only closed cockpit canopy. There is also more detailing on engine cowling, landing gear etc. Surface details on Stransky's kit is also of very good quality showing st
  15. Both kits are available for purchase on their e-shop http://www.stransky-kits.com/E-shop.html
  16. Hi, here is a brand new kit of 1/48 Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann which comes from new Czech manufacturer Stransky kits. I've build it as a machine from Luftwafe Flugzeugführerschule A/B 32. More details and some WIP photos in this topic: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235006521-148-stransky-bucker-bu-181-bestmann-finished-build-log/ Hope you like it :} A.
  17. Next was engine cowling. Not an easy part but nothing the modeler can not do There is no engine in the box so I've costructed one from some old Aires resin and Evergreen plastic >] This is all I have from the WIP phase. The model is finished now. More images are available in RFI topic here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235006580-148-stransky-bucker-bu-181-bestmann/ Thanks for watching A.
  18. Some detailing in cockpit. I've added Eduard's excelent "Steelbelts" to the seats. It was first time I've used those new etched steel seatbelts and I will not use any other from now on. They are excelent. I've also drew and printed a decal for instrument panel. I am too lazy to hand paint it The canopy fited also without any problem ch Canopy was soaked in Future then masked and instrument panel installed. Then I've glued the canopy to the f
