  1. Agreed @Natter, BMW’s product placement was a big mistake for Bond, but it’s still a cool car. Hopefully I have a enough of a different look so no ones imagining Pierce standing in front of it like an ad for Omega, Saville Row & Bollinger
  2. Love that grill. Are the leads supposed to stick up that much from the engine? It looks like it might be difficult to close the engine cover
  3. Nice to see I it worked well on your test pieces. Always nice to feel helpful
  4. It really looks like a lot of work to clean up a resin kit, but seeing that mock up on the last pic really shows it’s worth the effort. Love those real spoke wheels
  5. That’s great @JCH I swear by the stuff, but it does need a really good clean after or the paint doesn’t stick (learnt the hard way!)
  6. I do seem to have a habit of choosing bad kits, but the challenge is still fun. Happy to join the orange Countach Group!
  7. I’m not a bike guy, so I have no idea what this is, but it is a thing of beauty. So much detail and a perfect finish
  8. And there’s the other one! Very nice build and on a huge scale!! I had no idea how unoriginal I am
  9. Thanks, this is only my second time using Zero paints, the first was more of grey colour & covered easily. I would say 12 coats seems a lot, until I used most of the bottle on my car!
  10. Thank you. I’m really pleased with the finish too. The 1K Zero clear isn’t supposed to be very good, but I spray at my kitchen table, so tend to stay away from anything too toxic even with a mask. I did lay the clear down quite heavily, then polish & wax with Meguiars Thanks Andy, I did consider making it a bond car, until I found the Z8 owners club & became spoilt for inspiration
  11. Thanks @Spiny , I did look at your build, there’s some very nice details that I don’t have on my kit, especially the doors and engine cover. I didn’t know there was a third!
  12. The one I use is only 1% active ingredient & 99% soapy water, but it doesn’t damage the plastic. Definitely test first, in case the whole thing disintegrates!
  13. That’s the nature of our hobby summed up in one sentence! Great build, I’ve just had a scan back through & Attention to detail is impressive
  14. Wow, that’s a full production line going there! Interesting to see how much detail you can get in one of these
  15. Those springs look great. If if I look in front of the car, I can get a stock market update too
  16. Thanks Andy. I know where all the flaws & mistakes are, but I’m pleased wit( the end result. I will certainly keep the, coming!
  17. Please do! For some reason, I can build the whole car without any glue going where it shouldn’t. Until I get to the windscreen, then some magically under my thumb just before I pick it up!
  18. Thanks Keith. The wheels are 1:24 Enkei GTC01RR 19" Wheel and Tyres set from Heroboy. They only just fit, I had to remake the suspension to get them to fit, as well as lowering: And in comparison to the kit wheels:
  19. Thanks @Schwarz-Brot I am really pleased with the cockpit. I think I’ll leave the window tint decal, so you can see the interior better I’m pretty sure it is. I borrowed/stole this from my wife, just pop the parts in and leave for about an hour. Give it a stir & the chrome disappears
  20. Thanks, I agree. Revell do a kit of the 507 as well & I was thinking of building that too
  21. That’s a genius idea! On my last build, I put the tyre on the wheel & used some styrene rod to attach to my drill (on the slowest setting) but it would still wobble & slip. I’ll definitely be trying this on my next one
  22. Some nice reference pictures there. That looks like alot of detail painting will be required. Good luck!
