  1. Sorry to hear about All the trouble now that I earlier said it was a good kit. I recall it as bring a fine set, but I did make mine with the hoods open, so thats proberly why. Lokking good what you've come up withπŸ’ͺπŸ˜‰
  2. New update to my f-16. The paint is now on, the paint on outer pylons was still a bit wet when these pictures were taken. I has been painted with a mix of Humbrol, AK realcolours and model master paint.
  3. Thank you. Oh, I did'nt know that. I think I'll leave it as it is, have come a bit to far in the progress to fix i now, but will be remembering it for the next f-16
  4. Update Managed to get in good hour of work today Here are som pictures. The wheelpart, all to be painted insignia white later, and the exhaust i painted with vallejo metal exhaust manifold (It does look a bit bright, but that will be adressed later) I did however find out that not the entire piece is painted metal, but actually in top/buttom colors, so maybe it would have been easier just have glued it to the aircraft πŸ€” A look from above, showing its goods The fueltanks, missiles and bombs have been painted. Not that many days ago, I said to myself, remember to paint the tips of the bombs yellow before green. Naturally I forgot, so thats gonna be a fun one later The underside has been painted with humbrol 64, It was preshaded, but not much is visiable now, but more in reality than on the photo.
  5. Got a lot made yesterday, the most of the kit is now assembled, but I hit some troubles when looking at the weapons pylons. The one I'm planning on making, flies with 4 sidewinders, on place 1-2-8-9. I have been told. that these sidewinder are attached to a 16s210 attachment, which is supplied on the wing tips, great! But on 2 and 8m, there was no 16s210 in the kit, but something called a LAU129, which I've been told is for the AMRAAM missiles And I did'nt have have any spares. So I decided to convert til LAU129 to 16s210. I've taken a picture to show det difference I've made. (Still needs some sanding for the first one)
  6. The parts are coming nice together, some sanding are needed, but otherwise it has been plain sailing so far! Here is some photos of the current process
  7. Thank you Yes, the one from the kit is very basic Exciting to find out, how much of it can be seen once the canopy is on
  8. The cockpit has taken shape The resin seat from quickboost is just awesome, and really adds something to it. I was however disappointed to find out, that there was no decals for the instruments left and right in the cockpit. I made some from the sparebox, and I think they will do the job!
  9. I'm declaring this one finished! I think it turned out OK, but there are many things i will do differently next time. The kit it self was not to bad actually, but it did'nt pay enough attention to all the sink marks, which annoys me now 🀨 Once again, big thanks to Rafalbert for supplying me with excellent decals More pictures in gallery soon
  10. It is starting to look better now. I've given it some weathering to live it up, and I think it helped. I still need to do a little more detail, but not a lot. Then a matt varnish and done
  11. Thank you, yes I've look at the WIP on most of the build in this GB, and have read something similar I have allied with a good friend who knows quite a lot about the F-16's armament and painting, so that is very good help for me
  12. Hello everyone Finally I think it is time to start on this kit. I've been looking much forward to make this. I have some good memories of seeing Danish f-16's at some airshows in Denmark, and this one should be possible to build mostly OOB flying in danish markings. I did buy some extra weapons kit, and a resin seat to spice things up. The kit look very good, nice crisp details, no sinkmarks of what I can see. The box (a bit worn, but nothing broken or bended inside ) Let's get to it The sprues The decalsheet (The danish ones i focus πŸ˜› ) The aircraft i'm trying to replicate The extra bits:
  13. Thank you. It's starting to be good I think! I'm really looking forward to give it some weathering! Decals has just been put on (Big thanks to @rafalbert for mailing me some, the worked absolutly perfect ) Will upload a picture very soon of the progress
  14. Thank you The look of this kit has grown on me, at the beginning of the build I actually did'nt really like its look, but now i think it looks quite cool, and I can't say I won't build another in the future
  15. Thank you, yes things went fast, though fit was not brillant, but when considering the price of the Kit, i think it is okay.
  16. Thank you, And I just received the decals todays so as soon as time allows it, I'll get going again πŸ˜‰ It is indeed a long plane, specially when it is stranding next to my skyhawk πŸ˜„
  17. A bit more work has been done! Everything is now glued together, which could be a mistake, since I'm an expert in breaking stuff off my kits. But I decided to do it this way, with this one, so that I could clear coat everything, and once it is dry, I can put it away until the decals arrive. I must say, I think it does look a bit uniform and boring right now, so I'm hoping that decals and weathering will live it up a bit
  18. Picture! After the black primer, i painted it in dark aluminium, oversprayed lightly with a lighter aluminium. I think it (the paint, not the kitπŸ˜…) turned out quite good actually Painted the wheel and exhaust with a brush. The clear coat has just been put on, and are hardening. Maybe I'll get some decals on it tonight, and be able to finish this one very soon
  19. Well No pictures this time. The Kit is now complet, and have been primed Black. The build it self was a wierd one, instructions where lacking informations on where to place stuff, generally bad fit, wheelwell Doors where nearly hopeless, and I not sure if I fitted them correctly πŸ™„ But this Kit will be painted soon, and pictures will be uploaded, this build will be more of a learning som technics rather than a spotless build πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  20. My 3rd entry in this GB. It is mainly supposed to be a quick build while waiting on decals to arrive in the mailbox for my Foxhound and Flagon. It is another russian jet, which i bought for the equivalent of 2,5 gbp from new, so I'm am a bit excited to see what you can get for such a small amount of money. At first glance it does not look worse than my other 2 kits in this GB πŸ˜… It will be build as a russian, number 42
  21. Got it primed in light grey, and the painted i aluminium, then masked off, and painted the details. Im not sure about the green for the nose and tail, it looks a bit to dark to me?πŸ€” But think I'll keep it as it is, and fix small errors. Later I'll give it a good clear coat, and lighten it up with some oil paint. Latest pictures
  22. Thank you Yes, this kit is better than the foxhound, so progress is a lot faster Pictures will be uploaded very soon
