  1. I'm very happy using vallejo metal colors, they work splendid, just pour it in the airbrush as they come
  2. Great - Already a problem.. The aftermarket seats are not same size as the kits, can tell which one is correct though? But so far I have cut out the square box in the bottom of the cockpit, so the resin seats have more space, but that does'nt solve the problem. The seats is to big lenght-wise as well.. Have to cut of some of the backrest from the fuselage and seal the gap later with some thin pieces of plastic, and thats only the rear seat, have'nt gotten to the front yet - It will be good Picture of the issues: Picture of the solution.. maybe
  3. All decals are now on! Later today I'll give it another clearcoat, then weathering
  4. Hello everyone This is my first "Non-GB" build here on britmodeller. I have acquired myself 3 1/72 mig 29 fulcrums, and have wanted to build a fulcrum for some time now, so here we are. So far the plan is to make one from Poland (this one), one from Irak, a italeri Mig-29a kit, and one from Iran, a mig 29a as well, which is a tamiya kit, but exactly the same as the italeri, right down to the decals I've read a bit about the kits, and I'm a bit excited to get started with the models since I've read the are not the best kits Anyways, here are some pictures: The box The sprues Aftermarket parts, decals
  5. Thank you I used Vallejo aluminium for the main body and wing, for the guncoverplates i mixed the aluminium 50/50 with vallejo dark aluminium. For the exhaust I used dark aluminium I does look a bit darker on pictures than in real life.
  6. A lot has been made - It's close to beeing a blitzbuild Before the darker aluminium and antiglare after... Now its time for a clear coat
  7. I actually got quite a lot done yesterday, cockpit painted, fuselage assembled, wings attached. Then came the filler work, there was a bit to get done But it will be fine Pictures of the 'pit
  8. Thank you, good info! I guess you're right about that
  9. Thank you, very kind of you! I didnt know airfix did that, but great I'm not sure, but I dont recall P51's in danish colours But yes, there were some Danish spitfires, if time allows it, maybe I should build one of them as well in this GB. So far it has begun quite allright, no big issues, just have to remember dryfitting since there are small things to correct so the fit is good Well maybe you can help me answering this, I did a quick google, and found some pictures of the J26, and some of the colours seems to variate a bit on the antiglare on the front, but also for the letter on the tail. The one I have suggest black antiglare, but I saw one with light olive colour. Regarding the tailletter, mine is a red F, but for the decals from Moose, it is blue. Is it possible it was red at some time, or is that just wrong
  10. I got this kit from and collegue at work who said he will not get it build, but maybe I could find the time. Well now it is the time for this old kit! I've build a few Mustang, but all in 1/48 scale so I guess that won't help me much. I'll be building it straight OOB, and my plan is to do it as a "fast" build, since I've have another kit waiting for me as well Anyways, here a some pictures: The box The sprues - which looks like they'll need some filing and sanding The instructions and the decals. They look good, hopefully the will work fine
  11. Thank you I used modelmaster FS36622 for the underside Modelmaster dark green (flat) for the green WEM Yellow Sand (FS20400) for the Sand colour WEM Brown Special for the brown parts For the metallicparts I used Metal Color from Vallejo
  12. Iranian RF-4e 1/72 Revell Quickboost seats
  13. It's finished It's been quite a journey with this set, but generally I've really enjoyed it, the Revell kit is ok, not many issues, except it would have look terrible with canopy closed. I'm pleased with the result, I think it looks right
  14. Well maybe its just me and my big fingers, but they tend bend around it itself when tranfering them from wetpaper to model, so it is a bit of a pain getting them "unrolled and flat" sometimes. But mostly they work good, I use mark fit strong once they are in place, and that work good for me Other than that, they are very thin and looks good once in place There is many of them however
  15. Hello, It's been a while! Alot of things came in the way of this build, but the next days, I should be able to get in some hours! The stencil ark from print scale has arrived, and I'v put on quite a few of the stencils, but dear god there's many, and they are small 😱 But here are som pictures of the progress so far
  16. Thank you for all you comments I'm quite pleased with it as well. Yesterday I put on the clear coat, so I hope to get started on decals very soon:) It will however have to wait a bit, because the stencils are still on their in the mail But the decals from the aftermarket sheet can go on soon
  17. New pics I've painted the most of it now I've used a combination of WEM, Model master and AK real colours for it, and must of the time, it worked fine. For the metallic I have used vallejo acrylic metal color There is still a lot of details to be done, but things are moving along nicely
  18. Hey Diego Thank you for the comments about stencils, I'll have to pay close attention there, to be sure im not doing it wrong. I do have a Hasegawa kit in the stash, guess I can "borrow" some stencils from that one if all else fails Regarding the black belly, I'm sticking with my original plan of doing it in FS 36622 since that's what I've been told from a friend and his source. I do not have the knowlegde or source to question whether or not it had flown with a black belly though If I ever see a picture of one with black belly, I'll start a new build immediatly because it does look awesome on the other models I've seen done like that I can only imagine that being in nearly constant service its paint job will look faded, I hope I can achieve something similar with this one
  19. Just thought I would would show you something from the kit. So far must stuff fits very good, but then I had to do the canopy. Fortunately I'm planning on doing it with glass open, and there not some you would see, but still, this is just not good. (The white you can see between is some sort of bluetac, to prevent colours from entering the pit Hopefully it will turn out fine later when I glue them on open
  20. Yes, things went quickly this time, but I did get some unexpected extra time due to Covid-19.... Yes the build is now complete, but the painting is where the time really flies But I got it primed black last night, so now it's time for some colours
  21. Everything is now ready for at black primer I had to use some filler here and there, but not that much after all
  22. Yes, well it was'nt my idea, but a friend of mine told me to do it
  23. More has been made! I have assemble the fuselage, and glued the cockpit to it. Until then, everything have had good fit. But it ended there, I had to remove quite a lot of the fuselage with a file, but it turned out fine! I have then painted the inside of the airintakes white, both the one on the fuselage, and the other. After going through some photos I could see it variates a bit how deep the colour goes in to the intakes, so I just chose to do mine where it do not go very far in. On the fuselage parts, it goes a bit further in.
