Hi It's my first time scale modeling and i've just made my first mistake, I'm in the process painting the rubber on the road wheels of my tamiya chieftain. I noticed after painting a few of the wheels that the black I bought is a lacquer, "hmm whats the difference" I think to myself, so I did my research, found out I'm supposed to thin it, also that it melts many things, including plastics. SO question is, how much trouble am I in? Will the wheels be fine or will I have to create a chieftain vs landmine diorama? Also general paint help would be much appreciated! Cheers, Steven

Hi all, I'm about to start work on my Tamiya Chieftain and I'm looking for reference photos of the mk5. However I'm having trouble finding photos of that exact model, either that or I'm not understanding the upgrade packages that came for the Chieftain. The only photos I can find are of Chieftains with the muzzle reference system and/or the stillbrew armour package - which to my understanding the mk5 didn't have. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers, Steven

Hi everyone I'm a 22 y/o sound design student (I'll happily record any AFVs you own ), at uni I found out I loved doing texture work with the scenic art department and I've always loved tanks so its only natural that I'd find myself here. I've been an off and on lurker for a while, as I now have my first model I thought It'd be a good time to jump in! I got me a 1/35 Tamiya Chieftain Mk5 to start off, because shes looker aaaaand I don't have to build the track links one by one (maybe next time).
