  1. ^ What he said. I shall probably bumble along as usual, buying kits I don't need, starting things on a whim and hardly finishing anything.
  2. That first photo ❤️❤️❤️ Cummins ISX? You're building a newer model? I can't get my head around new stuff, so pardon my ignorance.
  3. It looks like you have a void behind the exhaust louvres that trapped unexposed resin? The resin then eats its way through the part. I had that on one of my prints where I'd merged two files and hadn't checked it properly. Other than that, no problems with my Mars 4. I'm using Siraya Tech Fast Navy Grey resin, 50um layer height and 2.5s exposure.
  4. I have mixed feelings about Moebius kits... won't go into that here, but this one's progressing nicely.
  5. A100 van seats and that exhaust suggest A990 Super Stock lightweight, but it has a wedge rather than a Hemi 🤷‍♂️
  6. Not a kit, but it will (I hope) save a lot of scratchbuilding and kitbashing.
  7. A white GT6 at the weekend - clearly some people aren't worried about salt on the roads. 😐 Today, a Renault Twizy, which I'd never heard of, only discovering its identity from looking up the registration number. Not my cup of tea, but each to their own.
  8. I've just bought a Mars 4 Ultra, still awaiting delivery. It's my first 3D printer, so I'll keep an eye on your thread.
  9. '71 GTX? Needle files and/or scraping with a blade would be my approach. I know some people cut away the belts entirely and replace with thinner strip stock, but unless you can turn more realistic pulleys it won't look much better and it's a lot more faff.
  10. That's more like it! Yes, Ford D-series and Bedford TKs were everywhere when I was growing up, but I don't recall seeing a Super Snipe anywhere other than a Tri-Ang catalogue. 🫢
  11. Not from me. 🙃 Nothing there that would get me excited. I like the early E-types, but series IIIs are just fugly.
  12. Well, I'm not really fussed about build ups or bunfights. 🤷‍♂️ Why would admin need to allow anything? The WIP subforum is there for anyone to post vehicles under construction/.
  13. No reason why we can't post the same builds here instead? If someone were to propose a start date, anyone interested could create a thread for their subject.
  14. Might be a bit pricey... 🤔 https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/cable-sleeves/1811981?gb=s Failing that, woven fiberglass sleeving for electrical insulation?
  15. Presume it was meant to be £48.99, but still nuts for what is now an obsolete kit... the new Revell '71 Mustang is far superior.
  16. 924 "down the Asda" this evening. Also saw a silver-grey Sunbeam Talbot DHC on the way there, with large racing numbers on the doors. 🤔
  17. F1: 1960s Sports/endurance: 1960s Saloon car racing: 1960s NASCAR: 1960s Drag racing: 1960s
  18. I agree, most likely a replica, but the thought of using a 1963 E-type as a donor vehicle... how the other half live, I suppose.
  19. Is that a real D-type? DVLA says first registered in 1963. 🤔 Today's head scratcher: registration number 1 EAR on a 2011 Qashqai. Must be worth* about 100 times what the vehicle itself would fetch. * not to me, I think it's daft.
  20. You've probably come across this already, but if not - some inspiration for you. https://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/threads/chopt-taxi.166833/?nested_view=1&sortby=oldest
  21. OTOH, you now have more time for spotting. 🤔 Either way. enjoy your new life. Recent spots: a BRG C-type, presumably a replica, but I'd forgotten the reg by the time I got home; a dark red G-reg Peugeot 309 (🙅‍♂️); several Rover 75s (again, 🙅‍♂️), a P-reg MGB GT backdated with chrome grille and bumpers, and a couple of new classics in neighbouring streets - a G-reg Beetle and an L-reg Mercedes 230.
  22. I'm in. Always happy to start another one,
