I confess I've only read the first few pages, so apologies if these have already come up: "Price point" really winds me up - what's wrong with "price"? "Tasked with" - when I were a lad, task was a noun. American misuse of "anymore" to mean nowadays or often e.g. "anymore I only build Tamiya kits".

Came across a T-reg Spitfire in BRG today, parked in the road, then shortly after I drove past a body repair shop that had a few vehicles outside in various states of disassembly. The three I took in were an E12 (I think) 5-series, a Mk2 Fiesta XR2i and a K-reg orange VW type 4 fastback. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

Too late, but another vote for the Tele. I've put a couple together from parts and I've messed about with various combinations. I prefer the classic Tele bridge pickup, but I don't care for the neck pickup as much... I've had one set up as an Esquire and with a neck humbucker. I'm thinking of trying a Filtertron or Dynasonic neck pickup at some point.

Just checking - are Matchbox/AMT kits eligible, or only kits originally tooled by Matchbox? I have a number of AMT kits from the Lesney owned period with Matchbox branding, but fewer pure Matchbox kits.

A nice clunker taking shape there. I wouldn't worry too much about the PCV plumbing. The dual quad intake and air cleaner aren't factory correct anyway, and the engine is a strange mix of 351W and 351C features. It's strange altogether for a recent tooling - it's very reminiscent of a '70s/'80s Monogram kit with the simplified suspension and moulded-in details.

I used to think those (and the CX) were quite ugly, but now I kind of like the idea of wafting around in one. My spot today is another Citroen - a W-reg Dyane in yellow with an orange fabric roof, and believe it or not, towing a trailer...

A few spots yesterday - a silver N-reg BMW 2.8 or 3.0 coupe, a Rover P5 saloon and an A30 or A35, lowered on wide steel wheels.

Yeah, that's a photo of a Holden I found on the web, not the one I saw. You're right though, the badges look similar at a glance, so could well have just been a Holden...

A strange one today: what I thought was a Vauxhall Maloo pickup, but this one had four doors. Red, 05 plate, looked Holden-based. Any ideas? If it's still there tomorrow I'll see if I can stop and get a photo. Edit: seems it's a Holden Crewman. I've never heard of a Vauxhall version, but I'm sure it was badged as one. Not really my cup of tea...

Playcraft issued the AMT 1959 Lincoln convertible and 1959 Buick hardtop over here. It was probably that one. I would suggest buying the oft-reissued AMT '66 Wildcat instead. The Hasegawa one is just a direct copy of the AMT body with a generic chassis and interior. Admittedly, the AMT kit's promo style chassis isn't that much of an improvement, but it does have an engine, more accurate wheels and a proper interior.

Nice 3D work. I'm still getting to grips with it but drawing anything beyond basic shapes tends to end badly. If you want to get it a bit more accurate, with a single spring bogie like that, the centre of the spring is mounted to the chassis on a trunnion and the ends are attached to the axles, then there would be radius rods from the trunnion crossmember to the axles/diff housings. I usually look for factory brochures for dimensions and detail photos, for example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362364613453 Similarly with the drive axles, that type has a diff unit that drops in from the top. The prop shafts run into the diffs, not into the axle housings. The above brochure has some detail of that too. The vent windows look a lot better. I did that on my AMT '67 as well - there was more frame and "rubber" than window area.

Still no more progress to show. Since my holiday, I've been snowed under with work... hope I can at least get the '67 done by the deadline.

There's a black MkI (mentioned previously) and a yellow Mk2 both local to me. Someone up the road had a grey Mk3 roadster but now you've made me think about it, I don't think I've seen it recently.

Yes, canteen truck is definitely an American '36 Ford. The LCC ambulance might be a Morris 10? Past half way! I haven't touched these for weeks due to holidays and work commitments.... hope I can get back to them in the coming days. Might target the '67 for completion first, as that's the easy one.
