  1. I beg to differ regarding the Hasegawa kit, the Italeri offering, though - quite good in my eyes (particularly for that price).
  2. Something which caught my attention browsing the Hobby Link Japan website is the apparent release of the Rafale by Platz. Unfortunately it appears only to be a rerelease of the Italeri mould, accordind to Platz French Navy Carrier-Capable Fighter Rafale M Tiger Meet 2014 by Platz (hlj.com) French Navy Carrier-capable Fighter Rafale M by Platz (hlj.com)
  3. Watch my fiendish plan, as I will leave just leave the pitot tube off, in order to finish her for the KUTA gallery. Muha hahahaha.
  4. I decided to use the GB's as a booster for my SoD Projects and will therefore, where applicable finish old project rather than start new ones, even if this might be at odds with the 25% rule. Still as long as there are no prizes involvec, or this does not contradict the ideas of the GB (think Blitzenbuild) it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission. I have the Dutch 50 Years of NATO F-16 MLU in the works (fuselage build up. not painted yet though, and intend to use the final week of the GB to take her from limbo to looker.
  5. @keefr22 thanks for the tip this looks very promising. I might just try to get in touch with my local Honda/peugeot dealer then Do you have any experience how well these paints mesh with a modelling airbrush? I am slightly worried that the metalic chips might clog up the nozzle.
  6. Thanks Fastcast, the point is, that the aircraft was painted with car paint - therefore the Honda Vivid Blue and Peugeot Gold I am looking for. I'll look into Hiroboy's offer thanks! Regards Marcin
  7. Hi everyone, I drifted over from the plane builder forum. I am currently planning to build a the Bundesluftwaffe Pharewell Phantom (Image shamelessly grabbed from the masm.fr website) I wonder, since the color call-outs are Honda vivid blue and Peugeot Heliodor Gold (therefore my post here), if there might be a dedicated airbrushable paint I could use in lieu of the mix described in the instructions above? Thank you for any help in advance.
  8. Fair point Piotr, this is the bane of open data bases. performing sanity checks and taking the information with a grain of salt is always recommended.
  9. I'd like to kindly point out, that Scalemates is a wiki-like database, and gives registered users the power to ammend the data provided. (I know it, as I have been editing enties up there, most currently the Revell RF/F-4 entry). Therefore I can only urge those ITK to contibute to the database.
  10. Though this depends on the mileage of the kidney, doesn't it?
  11. Have you decided on the paint scheme yet? If you are keen on some color I would suggest JBr-Decals and their scheme of the decennial czech two-seater. or the ETPS scheme.
  12. The A&A kit is a re-worked Heller with engraved lines and the Parts for the IV P included. However no ASMP ans the fit is supposed to be challenging. Though Modelsvits 1/72nd Mirage 2000 C earned a lot of praise, lately so I hope they issue a 2000N soon (with the ASMP and the RPL-541/542 Tanks just like the Heller Kit).
  13. Hi Deano What-ifs are acceptable as far as color schemes, user nations, and loadouts go. So if you want to do a Swedish F/A-18 in splinter camo and an RBS-15 loadout, or even an Ace Combat or Idolmaster one thaat's fine. Does this answer your question?
  14. Outboard pylons for the F-4 in 1/72. Has anyone done them? Hasegawa, Italeri and Revell didn't (not sure about Fujimi) any third-party? Scalemates does not show any results
  15. So I finally found a nice Hasegawa F-4E Phantom - even a late one I believe: But it has this outrageous scheme: Should I build this ( are computer game inspired schemes even allowed by GB rules?) Or should I give it a nice Hill II Paintjob?
  16. They did not purchase the Hornet yet, it is election year after all, but they will be most likely purchased in 2022, right in time for the STGB.
  17. Welcome Deano353!, There is always room for another Bug in the GB! I am so looking forward to zour big one. Any idea as to which operator you intend to portray?
  18. Welcome @David2703, what a great subject! I am looking forward to your build!
  19. How realistic has the loadout to be? There is the infamous picture of an F-111 with 48 MK 82's but this would be never a possible loadout for opertion as half otf the pzlons weren't wired for weapon release. Do weight limitations of pylons have to be observed? Is it allowed to hang weapons on hardpoints not wired for weapon release? Is it allowed to do fantasy loadouts? Oh. what the heck, count me in.
  20. Good choice. Will you build the recce version, or will you load it with the supplied nukes as a doomsday machine?
  21. As per header, can a late F-4E be build from the YF-4E kit without extensive scratch building? Or shall I wait until Hobby 2000 do a proper F-4E rerelease (purely speculative) or Fine Molds decide to release a thin wing F-4 (also speculative as hell).
  22. The Hasegawa EF-111 Raven contains all the parts to build a F-111A. The Ravens where converted from low attrition F-111A airframes.
  23. Would cross-kiting a Hasegawa EF-111 with a Fb-111A/ F-111G work? Hobby 2000 has not released any long-wing F-111 (yet?)
  24. What is more exciting, that the press release mentions other trainers which are in the pipeline. The L-159 would be a threatnas well as the AMX (esp. If they also do the single seater). And I am still waiting for a kit company to announce a Red Hawk kit. Considering that trainers are used in way more air forces than say a F-22 it is a shame that they are so neglected by the modelling community.
