  1. Nicely done so far. I marvel at those that can do vacuform kits justice. I'll be following. David

  5. While I am not new, I have been lurking for about a year, and don't post much at all. But, Mike was very generous in listening to me about a problem I had, so I thought that it was time to present myself to the rest of the forum. I am semi-retired, and an ex-navy submarine guy. Served from '79 to '93 on fast attack 637 class boats, and rode as a squadron evaluator on 688 boats. Been modelling it seems my whole life, doing cars and aircraft in plastic, but have also broadened into almost anything! Like a lot of you, I also started with making glue bombs, and now that I am old and my eyes aren't what they used to be, I have returned to my childhood quality of builds! I am currently living in the USA in Ohio, but my late wife was from Bristol, UK, so I feel a little bit of kinship with you all across the pond. Visited several times, and determined that we are two peoples separated by a common language!! 🤣 Anyway, glad to be here! David Moore
  6. While I am not a chemical engineer, CO2 when it comes in contact with water will produce Carbonic Acid. This is the same thing that goes into soft drinks and other carbonated foods / drinks. I know that its not a health problem, but I do not know about long term effects on metals such as the airbrush. I would suppose that in the amounts we are talking about this would not be a problem, but to be on the safe side I would inspect the airbrush from time to time to make sure everything looks good. David
  7. In the states, I use a product called Purple Power, or sometimes find it as Castrol Super Clean. I've also used the foaming type oven cleaners. While I have not used it, I have also heard that Brake Fluid works well, however you must be careful around any resin parts - they will dissolve. In all cases, however, you may need to use a brush to get the more stubborn areas clean.
  8. Your skills far out weigh my own, so all I can say is that I really like what you have done so far. Keep it up!!!
  9. I've got one of these that is currently a garage queen. I am following this build to maybe get motivated to finish mine. Yours is looking good so far. David
  10. Your shadow work is very good! I am not even close to there yet. David
  11. I always liked the lines of that car. I am interested in what you can do with it. David
  12. Thank you for posting this! Much appreciated!
  13. I realize that I am very late to this party, but I have to say that I am new here, and this is one of the most dynamic undertakings that I have ever seen. Great job on this, and I will be following as close as I can. David
