While I am not new, I have been lurking for about a year, and don't post much at all. But, Mike was very generous in listening to me about a problem I had, so I thought that it was time to present myself to the rest of the forum. I am semi-retired, and an ex-navy submarine guy. Served from '79 to '93 on fast attack 637 class boats, and rode as a squadron evaluator on 688 boats. Been modelling it seems my whole life, doing cars and aircraft in plastic, but have also broadened into almost anything! Like a lot of you, I also started with making glue bombs, and now that I am old and my eyes aren't what they used to be, I have returned to my childhood quality of builds!
I am currently living in the USA in Ohio, but my late wife was from Bristol, UK, so I feel a little bit of kinship with you all across the pond. Visited several times, and determined that we are two peoples separated by a common language!! 🤣
Anyway, glad to be here!
