  1. Hi Darryl, Super job, really like the basing too, the tall grass looks epic. How was that created by the way? Andy
  2. Evening folks. Thought id better make a start and post my maiden build on the forums. A 1/35th BA-64b Russian scout car by Miniart. The build will pretty much be straight out the box as it’ll take too long for any detail sets to arrive. I have already made a start on the gearbox and chassis, leaf springs and rear axle. The chassis had some pretty noticeable injector pin marks and recesses on the underside of the frame. Nothing a bit of green putty can’t fix. anonymous pictures website Cheers Andy
  3. Hello everyone, Thank you for your replies. It's nice to be welcomed aboard. I've decided to opt not to go with a detail PE upgrade and just go for a OOB box build on this one. Once again, thank you very much. Andy
  4. Hello everyone, I'm Andy from Darlington in the North East of England. I'd like to take a moment to thank the staff for allowing me to join this forum. I've heard good things about the place. I've pretty much been a scale modeler from a fairly young age. I remember my first kit fondly, a 1/48th scale Airfix Spitfire. I made a terrible job of it, the paint even worse.. but none the less it was a start. I still had that spitfire in a tin, but with myself and my partner recently moving into our first home together, the majority of my modelling baggage is missing in action. I have however, managed to find with me tools and make a start on a BA-64B scout car from Miniart that i found buried at the bottom of a box, which leads me to the first question i'd like to ask.. Does anyone know where I would be able to find a full PE detailing kit for the BA-64, interior and exterior, that would be preferably UK based? I have found one on BNA Model World which are based in Australia, though sadly the full upgrade kit is currently out of stock. Has anyone had any dealings with BNA in the UK and were they okay? I realise this is not the place to be asking questions, but I was typing my greetings post at the time anyway. Thanks Andy
