  1. Can anyone post the correction? Looks like you have to be a member of that FB group to see it.
  2. Now available in the US at Sprue Brothers. https://spruebrothers.com/mdv48018-1-48-modelsvit-f-82f-f-82g-twin-mustang/
  3. I guess it’s now a straight ECR boxing. No mention of IDS on the box anymore, the box art has been updated, and the two aircraft (the Italian aircraft is the same one at different times) that decals are provided for are both ECRs. Guessing no changes to the weapons since the HARMs, and Cerberus pod for the German bird, were already in the box. A pair of IRIS-T would be nice, but I’m not hopeful.
  4. There is a pdf of the instruction sheet posted on the Scalemates entry for the kit. However, it’s missing two pages: 26 and 27. The missing bits are for installation of the open bomb bay doors, lower air brakes, and assembly of the Blue Steel.
  5. All of the parts for a late Vietnam era are in the box, except for the M-35 gun system. The kit has the twin gun turret, right side tail rotor boom, and the anti-Strella mods (upturned exhaust, engine cowling air scoops, and the small half-moon shield above the exhaust) included in this “early” boxing.
  6. No instrument face decals? I don’t understand Kinetic on this, they did the same thing on the F-104 kit. Blank IP faces and nothing to put on them.
  7. Just got the kit in my hands from Lucky Model. Very nice detail, and it looks like they got the vast majority of the antennas and lumps and bumps included. Packaging is nice too with a cardboard “shield” protecting the antennas molded on the rear fuselage half. Main “nits” that I see are the engine bypass outlet at the rear of the fan section is molded solid, no representation of the flare dispensers on the horizontal tails, and the round GPS antenna in top of the fuselage is too large in diameter and too tall. Also surprised that they included all of the seats, including on the lower flight deck (which are totally invisible), but didn’t include an IP decal. A SNIPER pod option would also have been nice as you only get the LITENING pod. The inclusion of AGM-129s is interesting as they were retired in 2008, while the decal schemes are 2016 and 2017. Overall looks like a very nice kit, and a step up on the old Revell kit. If/when Academy releases their kit, it will be interested if to compare the two, especially if it’s the same quality as their B-1B.
  8. Great review. The decal options are only for Flight 188, the record setting Mach 6.72 flight, so the resin “eyelid” for the port cockpit window is correct for either scheme. The issue was that as the white ablative coating burned off, residue would be deposited on the cockpit windows, which would inhibit the pilot’s ability to see and safely land the aircraft. The premise was that the eyelid would be closed for the beginning and high speed portion of the flight, and then when beginning the approach, the eyelid would be opened, allowing the pilot a clear view through an undamaged window. HTH.
  9. Trying to order, it appears that it won’t take any addresses outside of Russia, so it doesn’t look like they ship internationally.
  10. Unless I’m mistaken, that extra trapezoidal shape on the sprue with the rockets looks to be the long missing belly fairing for deleting the lower turret. If so, it looks like you get two in the kit. Many Korea War B-26s has the lower turret deleted, including some, if not all, of the marking options in the B-50 kit.
  11. Got mine yesterday. Not much more to say since the Tamiya P-51 kit is well known. Just a couple of new sprues with the rockets, different radio gear, and the uncuffed HamStand prop.
  12. Strange that they haven’t done Kylo Ren’s Silencer yet. We also need some shuttles. A Lambda class from the original trilogy to replace the ancient MPC kit, and Kylo Ren’s command shuttle.
  13. I hope it’s a completely new tool, and not just a rebox of the IMEX/Kagnam kit (maybe just with a new sprue). I’m a bit worried as the built up model doesn’t have things like the wire cutters on the gear legs and above the canopy, no cockpit shots, no dispensers, and the disco jammer seems a bit small.
  14. Kit’s been released, got mine earlier in the week. Like the C kit, a lot of nice detail, but some issues to deal with. Some of the decal issues have been noted, but add in the only IPs in the kit are for the B, not the D or N panels. Also, same weapons as in the C kit, so no ASMP for the N or bombs for the D. Incidentally, the instructions are only for building the D. Nothing about the differences for the N. So are they doing a B release too? Seems like it would be the same plastic, with different decals.
