  1. Awesome job! I love 50's and 60's Naval aviation subjects, and yours is great. I enjoyed building mine a few years ago- great builder's kit.
  2. I built this kit last year, and found it to be a real pleasure, as well an aesthetically pleasing design. This is one you don't see a lot of but is surely one of their best kits. You did a great job representing the faded paint and wear. Thanks for sharing.
  3. From the looks of your brush painted finish, it looks smooth and even, can't see brush strokes, strange for a natural metal paint. It all looks great.
  4. NIcely done. I love the weathering job-enough to be convincing without being over done.
  5. Outstanding job on the Gannett. Dynavector manufactured some great kits to fit a niche. I built their Sea Vixen and Scimitar, but opted for the Classic Airframes Gannett. Looking forward to the Airfix offering. Your Alize looks great too- I have one sitting in a box, waiting...
  6. Seafang was a too-little, too-late design, which did not detract from it's aesthetics. I really like the what if Suez scheme!
  7. Great job. One of my phavorite Phantom variants. You did a great job with the shading and weathering too. FLY NAVY!
  8. Interesting natural metal work. My Korean War Invader is next up on the table.
  9. Gannet AEW is one of my all time favorite aircraft, and you have done this one proud! Congrats on the wing fold and the weathering, both done convincingly.
  10. I am in awe of the finish. Love the dirtying up of the metallic surface. Well done.
  11. Thats a great "beat up" look. Excellent weathering and camo.
  12. Nicely done- the weathering looks great. Love the 50's era aircraft.
  13. Very nice! I saw a Lightning at a show at RAF Mildenhall in '68 or so. Fly to Air Show Center and stand on end, Full Afterburner and head straight up, just as you describe. That was probably the loudest aircraft I have ever heard, including the F-100s stationed at RAF Lakenheath at the time... Nice job of representing the Red Arrows in a WIF. The Lightning was raw power personified!
  14. Well done! I built the old Airfix Bucc many years ago (both 1/72 and 1/48) and have them in my case. I have always wanted to do the early variant round intake Bucc in all white anti flash paint and a 2-tone scheme. Yours is nicely done and I appreciate the info on potential pitfalls in construction.
  15. Great job!!!!! Love the 2 tone weathering on the wing. What's your technique?
  16. Great job! Nice blending of the topside paint colors. Thats a hard scheme to master at times.
  17. Nice job on the finish. I beat the original into submission years ago and still have it in my collection. How is the interior on the new release? Is it more detailed than the original?
  18. Now I want a stash full of Corsairs to build! These are all superb jobs. I love the weathering detail. Agree about the blue on the last one, but it's all good- first of all, it's your model, so finish it the way you want to. Second, it looks great no matter what, nothing to be ashamed of there.
