I’ve read about them on Ferrari chat which has a very good model area. Someone on there shows pictures of any new Ferrari model release. I haven’t seen one myself and roadcars don’t really interest me that much I’m afraid. They look very good though! You have to log on though to view any pictures on Ferrari chat, but there is a lot to look at. Chris

Fujimi1/24 911 - my worst car build ever!!
Kitkent replied to keefr22's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
I still think it’s really good Keith, definitely not a worst result. It just needs a Porsche decal on the bonnet to divert attention! Chris. -
Cheers Keith, and that’s from 2019! Someone should put more of these car announcements on the rumourmonger thread if it’s not already there. Chris.

It since to see something other than Ferrari/Porsche re runs all the time! The Rover hasn’t even been made in resin as far as I know. But having said this they promised a while ago the Porsche pink pig from Le Mans 2018,see Sabrejet’s excellent build in RFI of the resin one. Ot maybe I dreamt it..Chris.

What CAR/BIKE kits have you recently bought 2?
Kitkent replied to shood23's topic in Vehicle Discussion
Good find on the Renaissance Porsche! I have made quite a few of their 1/43 kits and I have to say they’re over engineered with dodgy photo etch. Having said that I’ve never seen one of their 1/24 kits in the flesh,it looks good .Chris. -
Belkits Opel Manta 400, help/advice please...
Kitkent replied to Jasper dog's topic in Vehicle Discussion
Personally I would still use the Appliance white but first use a Tamiya spray can primer or better still Mr. Hobby primer but that’s hard to get hold of. For metal kits I would use the Halfords primer,Tamiya and Mr. Hobby primers are very smooth, ideal for plastic or resin kits.Or alternatively use Tamiya white for the topcoat, the spraycan that is. Chris. -
One of my favourite race cars too! This is outstanding and should be in a museum…Did you add anything? Or do they supply literally everything? Great stuff! Chris.

Yes Keith, mine was with Royal Mail and arrived today, very quick delivery and no mention of customs apart from a text saying customs had been cleared. Less than a week I think, the Spot Model box has a nice pencil sketch of a Porsche on the top as well!.Chris.

I have also ordered from Spot Model this week,a Belkits 1/24 display case and some Scale Motorsport decals I couldn’t get anywhere else. The Sierra Cosworth kit does look very nice! Chris.

LDM 1:48 Mew Gull, Christen Eagle, ASK13 (white metal)
Kitkent replied to Farmer matt's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Unfortunately Matt I never got my hands on another LDM kit,I remember now the adverts for the record cars though.Yes I started with the metal 1/43 kits, and am still making metal and resin car kits, but it’s the plastic aircraft ones that scare me! Chris. -
LDM 1:48 Mew Gull, Christen Eagle, ASK13 (white metal)
Kitkent replied to Farmer matt's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
This takes me back a bit! I built the LDM Percival Mew Gull for a friend in about 1986 or 87. It was an enjoyable experience as I started making the 1/43 metal car kits in 1981 and this is not very much different.I don’t remember any problems and my friend and myself were very pleased with the completed model. Unfortunately I never got to see another LDM kit but I was very impressed with the Mew Gull and It started my interest in interw ar era aircraft kits. I do have an unmade resin 1/72 resin Mew Gull however in the stash and I still make 1/43 metal racecar kits! A very interesting thread, Chris. -
Agree about Marsh kits of which I have several! The MA kits are a bit rough round the edges let’s say..You’re one looks very smart,a very good result. Who doesn’t like a Can Am McLaren ?! Chris.

Looking forward to seeing this one progress,I have quite a few of these Revell 1/24 F1 cars and haven’t started any of them yet! good luck,Chris. -
Welcome to the forum, and yes this is a friendly place I must say! The colours of both cars are spot on,the Penske is a Tameo kit of the 1988 Indy series,Sullivan was the champ that year. Very nice to see another 1/43 modeller on here too. Chris.

The blue and the golden sand must have been the the 2 most popular colours! Also seen in the Sweeney TV series, bank robbers car along with the S type of the sixties too…Chris. -
